Hallelujah! I give thanks to God with everything I’ve got—Wherever good people gather, and in the congregation. God’s works are so great, worth A lifetime of study—endless enjoyment! Splendor and beauty mark His craft; His generosity never gives out. His miracles are His memorial—This God of Grace, this God of Love. He gave food to those who fear Him, He remembered to keep His ancient promise. He proved to His people that He could do what He said: Hand them the nations on a platter—a gift! He manufactures truth and justice; All His products are guaranteed to last—Never out-of-date, never obsolete, rust-proof. All that He makes and does is honest and true:
He paid the ransom for His people, He ordered His Covenant kept forever.
He’s so personal and holy, worthy of our respect. The good life begins in the fear of God—Do that and you’ll know the blessing of God. His Hallelujah lasts forever!

My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble.

When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.
Proverbs 3:21-26

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work. Do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.
1 Corinthians 6:14, Ephesians 5:12, 2 John 1:11, 1 Timothy 5:22

Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. Have nothing to do with the useless works that darkness produces. Instead, expose them for what they are. Neither should you fellowship with the Servants of darkness, because they have no fruit in them, but you should rebuke them.
Ephesians 5:11

Those who sin are to be rebuked publicly, so that the others may take warning.
1 Timothy 5:20

Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law resist them.
John 3:20, Proverbs 28:4

There is lasting peace for those who love your teachings. Nothing can make those people stumble. Whoever leads decent people into evil will fall into his own pit, but innocent people will inherit good things.
For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land. For only the godly will live in the land, and those with integrity will remain in it.
Psalm 119:165, Proverbs 28:10, Psalm 37:9, Proverbs 2:21

See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.
Psalm 139:24, 1 John 2:10

“ ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,’ the Lord replied.
‘Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of Me. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’
Acts 26:16-18

Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man. The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.
Psalm 112:4, Proverbs 4:18

When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble. When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you.The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out.
Proverbs 4:12, Proverbs 6:22, Proverbs 10:9

The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
My shield is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart.
He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
Romans 13:12, Psalm 97:10, Psalm 37:6

Light shines on the godly, and joy on those whose hearts are right. Let the righteous rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in him; let all the upright in heart praise Him!
Psalm 97:11, Psalm 64:10

Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
Colossians 1:12

Blood Insurance

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

I love the Lord, for He heard my voice; He heard my cry for mercy.
Because He turned His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live.

The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came over me; I was overcome by distress and sorrow.
Then I called on the name of the Lord:
Lord, save me!

The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.
The Lord protects the unwary; when I was brought low, He saved me.

Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.

For You, Lord, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the Lord
in the land of the living.
Psalm 116:1-9

Worship the LORD your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.
Exodus 23:25

If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the LORD your God will keep His covenant of love with you, as He swore to your forefathers.
Deuteronomy 7:12

The LORD will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but He will inflict them on all who hate you.
Deuteronomy 7:15

He sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave. I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the LORD has done. Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of His works with songs of joy.
Psalm 107:20, Psalm 118:17, Psalm 107:22

I will heal My people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.

See now that I Myself am He! There is no god besides Me. I put to death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of My hand.
Deuteronomy 32:39

Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary on Exodus 15:22-27–

In the wilderness of Shur the Israelites had no water. At Marah they had water, but it was bitter; so that they could not drink it. God can make bitter to us that from which we promise ourselves most, and often does so in the wilderness of this world, that our wants, and disappointments in the creature, may drive us to the Creator, in whose favour alone true comfort is to be had. In this distress the people fretted, and quarrelled with Moses. Hypocrites may show high affections, and appear earnest in religious exercises, but in the time of temptation they fall away. Even true believers, in seasons of sharp trial, will be tempted to fret, distrust, and murmur. But in every trial we should cast our care upon the Lord, and pour out our hearts before him. We shall then find that a submissive will, a peaceful conscience, and the comforts of the Holy Ghost, will render the bitterest trial tolerable, yea, pleasant. Moses did what the people had neglected to do; he cried unto the Lord. And God provided graciously for them. He directed Moses to a tree which he cast into the waters, when, at once, they were made sweet. Some make this tree typical of the cross of Christ, which sweetens the bitter waters of affliction to all the faithful, and enables them to rejoice in tribulation. But a rebellious Israelite shall fare no better than a rebellious Egyptian. The threatening is implied only, the promise is expressed. God is the great Physician. If we are kept well, it is he that keeps us; if we are made well, it is he that recovers us. He is our life and the length of our days. Let us not forget that we are kept from destruction, and delivered from our enemies, to be the Lord’s servants. At Elim they had good water, and enough of it. Though God may, for a time, order his people to encamp by the bitter waters of Marah, that shall not always be their lot. Let us not faint at tribulations.

It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the arms; but they did not realize it was I who healed them.

I said, “O LORD, have mercy on me; heal me, for I have sinned against You.”
Psalm 41:4

Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying, “This is what the LORD says: ‘I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.'”
2 Kings 2:21

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Psalm 147:3

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name.
Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits—
Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. No one living in Zion will say, “I am ill“; and the sins of those who dwell there will be forgiven.
Psalm 103:1-6, Isaiah 33:24

And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Acts 10:38

The dead cannot sing praises to the LORD, for they have gone into the silence of the grave.
Psalm 115:17

The living, the living–they praise You, as I am doing today; fathers tell their children about Your faithfulness. We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, His power, and the wonders He has done. One generation will commend Your works to another; they will tell of Your mighty acts.
Isaiah 38:19, Psalm 78:4, Psalm 145:4

God’s Confirmation

Food gained by fraud tastes sweet to a man, but he ends up with a mouth full of gravel.
Proverbs 20:17

O LORD, the hope of Israel, all who forsake You will be put to shame. Those who turn away from you will be written in the dust because they have forsaken the LORD, the spring of living water.
Jeremiah 17:13

I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

Yet you have a few people who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Revelation 3:1-6

Who is wise? Let them realize these things. Who is discerning? Let them understand.
The ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.

Hosea 14:9
Lady Wisdom Gives a Dinner Party

Lady Wisdom has built and furnished her home; it’s supported by seven hewn timbers.
The banquet meal is ready to be served: lamb roasted, wine poured out, table set with silver and flowers.
Having dismissed her serving maids, Lady Wisdom goes to town, stands in a prominent place, and invites everyone within sound of her voice:
Are you confused about life, don’t know what’s going on? Come with me, oh come, have dinner with me!
I’ve prepared a wonderful spread—fresh-baked bread, roast lamb, carefully selected wines.
Leave your impoverished confusion and live! Walk up the street to a life with meaning.

If you reason with an arrogant cynic, you’ll get slapped in the face; confront bad behavior and get a kick in the shins.
So don’t waste your time on a scoffer; all you’ll get for your pains is abuse.
But if you correct those who care about life, that’s different—they’ll love you for it!
Save your breath for the wise—they’ll be wiser for it; tell good people what you know—they’ll profit from it.
Skilled living gets its start in the Fear-of-God, insight into life from knowing a Holy God.

It’s through me, Lady Wisdom, that your life deepens, and the years of your life ripen.
Live wisely and wisdom will permeate your life; mock life and life will mock you.

Madame Whore Calls Out, Too

Then there’s this other woman, Madame Whore—brazen, empty-headed, frivolous.
She sits on the front porch of her house on Main Street, And as people walk by minding their own business, calls out,
Are you confused about life, don’t know what’s going on? Steal off with me, I’ll show you a good time!
No one will ever know—I’ll give you the time of your life
.” But they don’t know about all the skeletons in her closet, that all her guests end up in hell.

Proverbs 9

She is the WHORE of BABYLON–do not hold to her teaching and do not learn Satan’s so-called deep secrets–I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, UNLESS THEY REPENT of her ways. I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I AM He who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.

She says to a person without sense,
Stolen waters are sweet, and food eaten in secret is tasty.”
But he does not know that the souls of the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of hell

Proverbs 9:17-18
For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all.
Luke 8:17

In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.
Jude 1:7

“All prohibited unlawful lusts and pleasures are desirable to men, and sweet in the enjoyment of them; and the pleasure promised by them is what makes them so desirable, and the more so because forbidden: and particularly as adultery, which is a sort of theft and a drinking water out of another’s cistern (Proverbs 5:15) being forbidden and unlawful, and secretly committed, is sweeter to an unclean person than a lawful enjoyment of his own wife; so false worship, superstition, and idolatry, the inventions of men, and obedience to their commands, which are no other than spiritual adultery, are more grateful and pleasing to a corrupt mind than the true and pure worship of God; and bread eaten in secret is pleasant; or, that which is stolen and is another’s and is taken and hid in secret places, fetched out from thence, or eaten there: the sweet morsel of sin, rolled in the mouth, and kept under the tongue; secret lusts, private sins, particularly idolatry, to which men are secretly enticed, and which they privately commit.
Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible (Proverbs 9:17)

There is a pleasure in sin for a season, but it has one hell of an aftertaste–BUT SIN ALWAYS has a price to pay–it will cost you your real life on earth and it ends in spiritual eternal death!

Hear the word of the LORD, listen to the law of our God!
I overthrew some of you as I overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. You were like a burning stick snatched from the fire, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the LORD.
Amos 4:11

This book is the verdict going out worldwide against thieves and liars. The first half of the book disposes of everyone who steals; the second half takes care of everyone who lies. I launched it”—Decree of God-of-the-Angel-Armies—“and so it will fly into the house of every thief and every liar. It will land in each house and tear it down, timbers and stones.”
Zechariah 5:3-4

The LORD’s curse is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the righteous.
Therefore a curse consumes the earth; its people must bear their guilt. Therefore earth’s inhabitants are burned up, and very few are left.
Proverbs 3:33, Isaiah 24:6

Fight with All You Have in You

Dear friends, I’ve dropped everything to write you about this life of salvation that we have in common. I have to write insisting—begging!—that you fight with everything you have in you for this faith entrusted to us as a gift to guard and cherish. What has happened is that some people have infiltrated our ranks (our Scriptures warned us this would happen), who beneath their pious skin are shameless scoundrels. Their design is to replace the sheer grace of our God with sheer license—which means doing away with Jesus Christ, our one and only Master.

Jude 1:3-4

You are just as dependent upon Christ, in order to live a holy life, as is the branch upon the parent stock for growth and fruitfulness. Apart from Him you have no life. You have no power to resist temptation or to grow in grace and holiness. Abiding in Him, you may flourish. Drawing your life from Him, you will not wither nor be fruitless. You will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water.

Remain in Me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.

Some people have slipped in among you unnoticed. Not long ago they were condemned in writing for the following reason: They are people to whom God means nothing. They use God’s kindness as an excuse for sexual freedom and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

I want to remind you about what you already know: The Lord once saved his people from Egypt. But on another occasion he destroyed those who didn’t believe. He held angels for judgment on the great day. They were held in darkness, bound by eternal chains. These are the angels who didn’t keep their position of authority but abandoned their assigned place. What happened to Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities near them is an example for us of the punishment of eternal fire. The people of these cities suffered the same fate that God’s people and the angels did, because they committed sexual sins and engaged in homosexual activities.
Yet, in a similar way, the people who slipped in among you are dreamers. They contaminate their bodies with sin, reject the Lord’s authority, and insult His glory.
Jude 1:4-8

Whatever these people don’t understand, they insult. Like animals, which are creatures of instinct, they use whatever they know to destroy themselves. How horrible it will be for them! These people are a disgrace at the special meals you share with other believers. They eat with you and don’t feel ashamed.

These people complain, find fault, follow their own desires, say arrogant things, and flatter people in order to take advantage of them.

Dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ told you to expect:In the last times people who ridicule God will appear. They will follow their own ungodly desires. These are the people who cause divisions. They are concerned about physical things, not spiritual things.
Jude 1:10-12, 16-19

Final Advice

Dear friends, use your most holy faith to grow. Pray with the Holy Spirit’s help. Remain in God’s love as you look for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to give you eternal life.

Show mercy to those who have doubts. Save others by snatching them from the fire of hell. Show mercy to others, even though you are afraid that you might be stained by their sinful lives.

God can guard you so that you don’t fall and so that you can be full of joy as you stand in His glorious presence without fault. Before time began, now, and for eternity glory, majesty, power, and authority belong to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Jude 1:20-25

Night and day we pray earnestly for you, asking God to let us see you again to fill the gaps in your faith.
1 Thessalonians 3:10

And Isaiah said the same thing in another place:If the LORD of Heaven’s Armies had not spared a few of our children, we would have been wiped out like Sodom, destroyed like Gomorrah. Unless the LORD Almighty had left us some survivors, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah.
Romans 9:29, Isaiah 1:9

Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the LORD that He may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for He will forgive generously.
Isaiah 55:7

Say to them,As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, O house of Israel?
Ezekiel 33:11

Your Body, His Temple

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

God’s Confirmation

However, if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves, pray, search for Me, and turn from their evil ways,
then I will hear their prayer from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their country.
My eyes will be open, and My ears will pay attention to those prayers at this place.
I have chosen and declared this temple holy so that My name may be placed there forever
My eyes and My heart will always be there.

2 Chronicles 7:14-16

Repentance to Bring Blessing

Return, Israel, to the Lord your God. Your sins have been your downfall! Take words with you and return to the Lord.
Say to Him
Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips.
Hosea 14:1-2

Babylon Has Fallen!
Warning to Escape Babylon’s Judgment

Then I heard another voice from heaven say:
“‘Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins,so that you will not receive any of her plagues;
for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes. Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her:
death, mourning and famine.
She will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.

Revelation 18:4-5, 8

“The kings of the earth who had sex with her and lived in luxury with her will cry and mourn over her when they see the smoke rise from her raging fire. Frightened by her torture, they will stand far away and say,

How horrible, how horrible it is for that important city, the powerful city Babylon!
In one moment judgment has come to it!

“The merchants of the earth cry and mourn over her, because no one buys their cargo anymore.
Revelation 18:9-11

‘The fruit you craved is gone. All your luxuries and your splendor have disappeared. No one will ever find them again.’

“Frightened by her torture, the merchants who had become rich by selling these things will stand far away. They will cry and mourn, saying,

How horrible, how horrible for that important city which was wearing fine linen, purple clothes, bright red clothes, gold jewelry, gems, and pearls. In one moment all this wealth has been destroyed!’

Every ship’s captain, everyone who traveled by ship, sailors, and everyone who made their living from the sea stood far away. When they saw the smoke rise from her raging fire, they repeatedly cried out, ‘Was there ever a city as important as this?’ Then they threw dust on their heads and shouted while crying and mourning,

‘How horrible, how horrible for that important city. Everyone who had a ship at sea grew rich because of that city’s high prices.
In one moment it has been destroyed!’

“Gloat over it, heaven, God’s people, apostles, and prophets. God has condemned it for you.”

Then a powerful angel picked up a stone that was like a large millstone. He threw it into the sea and said,
The important city Babylon will be thrown down with the same force.
It will never be found again.

“The blood of prophets, God’s people, and everyone who had been murdered on earth was found in it.
Revelation 18:14-21, 24

But the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD’s glory like the water covers the sea. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the LORD. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more. All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before Him. And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
Habakkuk 2:14, Jeremiah 31:34, Psalm 22:27, Isaiah 40:5

The LORD will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and His name the only name.
Zechariah 14:9

And now the Sovereign Lord has sent me, endowed with His Spirit.

This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.
If only you had paid attention to My commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea.
Your descendants would have been like the sand, your children like its numberless grains; their name would never be blotted out
nor destroyed from before Me

Leave Babylon, flee from the Babylonians! Announce this with shouts of joy and proclaim it.
Send it out to the ends of the earth; say
, “The Lord has redeemed his servant Jacob.”
They did not thirst when He led them through the deserts; He made water flow for them from the rock;
He split the rock and water gushed out.
There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.”
Isaiah 48:17 -22

‘How horrible it will be for the one who makes his neighbor drink from the bowl of God’s rage, making him drunk in order to stare at his nakedness. You will be filled with shame instead of glory. Now it is your turn! Drink and be exposed! The cup from the LORD’s right hand is coming around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.
Habakkuk 2:15-16

God Is In The Details

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Matthew 10:30

If Jesus knew He must be about His Father’s business and that His Father’s house is to be a house of prayer for the nations—not the den of thieves that man had turned it into–how much more should we be up and about our Father’s business?

It is important that we remember that Jesus said that as we partake of His blood and His body–our spiritual drink and food—
we do this and remember Him as the Father’s Passover of sin–bringing us out of the bondage of sin’s oppression that we might live forever with Him in holiness. Who the Son sets free is free indeed!

We must further consider that whatever we do to the very least of these–His brethren–it is as if we are doing it unto Him.

The Same Jesus who said, suffer the little children to come unto Me and forbid them not for of such is the kingdom of heaven“,

is the Same Jesus who though He were God’s Son yet He learned obedience by what He suffered—even the cross because

God so loved the world that He desired that none perish but come to Everlasting Life. This is the work of God–that we believe.

This is the Same Jesus who prayed that we may be One in Him as He is One in the Father and is alive right now interceding for us.

Therefore, it is important as His family members that we pray for one another—so that the lost and wayward will turn from
their wicked ways in confession that Jesus is Lord and that we receive them with the unfailing love of God the Father so that
we grow up together in Him.

You can see now how it is written that the Messiah suffers, rises from the dead on the third day, and then a total life-change through the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed in his name to all nations—

We are the witnesses.

Salvation and power are established! Kingdom of our God, authority of His Messiah!
The Accuser of our brothers and sisters thrown out, who accused them day and night before God.
They defeated him through the blood of the Lamb and the bold word of their witness.
They weren’t in love with themselves; they were willing to die for Christ.

Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work.
1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

War broke out in Heaven. Michael and his Angels fought the Dragon. The Dragon and his Angels fought back, but were no match for Michael. They were cleared out of Heaven, not a sign of them left. The great Dragon—ancient Serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, the one who led the whole earth astray—thrown out, and all his Angels thrown out with him, thrown down to earth. Then I heard a strong voice out of Heaven saying,

Salvation and power are established!
Kingdom of our God, authority of his Messiah!
The Accuser of our brothers and sisters thrown out,
who accused them day and night before God.
They defeated him through the blood of the Lamb
and the bold word of their witness.
They weren’t in love with themselves;
they were willing to die for Christ.
So rejoice, O Heavens, and all who live there,
but doom to earth and sea,
For the Devil’s come down on you with both feet;
he’s had a great fall;
He’s wild and raging with anger;
he hasn’t much time and he knows it.

Revelation 12:7-12

Never betray My trust—get over “it” and keep walking (living) in My will for you. We have all fallen short of the glory of God–but for Jesus–we would have all perished but He paid the toll in His precious sinless blood.

To boldly go where no man has gone before—
Jesus who is the Pioneer and Perfecter of our faith
has gone on ahead to Prepare a Place for us that–
where He is, we may be also.
He is the Breaker who has broken (canceled) the curse of sin and death.

The LORD will perfect that which concerns me:
Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever:
forsake not the works of Your own hands. (Psalm 138:8)

Hope unswervingly! Trust steadily! Love extravagantly!
We don’t have to have all the answers–only know God answers
prayer! Faith focuses on the final product, the completed act.
Jesus is the friend that sticks closer than any brother and a brother is born for adversity. Jesus is our Kinsman-Redeemer,
whose greater love laid down his life so that we might live forever in love with Him. Believe in the unfailing love and enduring truth of God in Jesus Christ. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life!

This is the Lord’s CAN DO Generation!

I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.
Philippians 4:13

For the joy of the Lord is your strength and in His presence is fullness of joy, unspeakable and full of God’s glory!

Time spent with God infuses us with the comfort, love and courage needed to face every situation and circumstance
knowing He goes through them with us and that He has already overcome the world. We love because He first loved us!

What is impossible with man is possible with God! Nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our
Lord—He is our Advocate with the Father and His Holy Spirit is our counselor, our guide to shepherd us home to the Father in love.

The Father looks at us through the Son saying, “Turn around, there is nothing for you out there going that way. Come home, all is forgiven. Your debts are cancelled and you are completely whole in My Son. Run to Him My dear one for His arms are wide open waiting for you.”

Resist the ways of the world for it is in those that your enemy,
the devil, has set his traps for catching you.
Perfect peace, love and joy are only to be found in Christ Jesus.

Father God turn my eyes away from the ways of this world’s stinking thinking for our ways are not Your ways, neither are our thoughts as high as Yours. You know the Way prepared for me and when You have tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

I know that their gold and silver are corrupt, tarnished and not durable and that the true worth is only found in You. Help me
not to value my life based on the world’s perception for they do not stand or walk with You and do not see where they are heading. Father forgive them for they know not what they do!

I know that the real reward is kept reserved for me in Eternal Glory as Your child! Let me never expect the world to complete my expectation because it is only a counterfeit. Remind me daily that Your fullness will be revealed in that day Jesus returns in glory. Amen.

Love never dies! Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end, understanding will reach its limit.
We know only a portion of the truth and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incomplete will be canceled.
1 Corinthians 13:8-10

We Become Like We Worship

Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them
Psalm 115:4, 8

Many are asking, “Who can show us any good?” Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.
Psalm 4:6

For the LORD is righteous, He loves justice; upright men will see His face.
Psalm 11:7

You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand. Surely the righteous will praise Your name and the upright will live before You.
Psalm 16:11, Psalm 140:13

When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down, but even in death the righteous have a refuge.
Proverbs 14:32

Or for as he thinks within himself, so he is.
Proverbs 23:7

My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad indeed;
My inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak what is right.
Listen, my son, and be wise, and set your heart on the right path

Buy the truth and do not sell it—wisdom, instruction and insight as well.
The father of a righteous child has great joy
My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways
Proverbs 23:15-16, 19, 23-26

You who fear Him, trust in the Lord—He is their help and shield.

The Lord remembers us and will bless us:
He will bless His people Israel,
He will bless the house of Aaron,
He will bless those who fear the Lord—small and great alike.

May the Lord cause you to flourish, both you and your children.
May you be blessed by the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth He has given to mankind.
It is not the dead who praise the Lord,
those who go down to the place of silence;
It is we who extol the Lord, both now and forevermore.
Praise the Lord

The Lord saves up wisdom (revelation) for the upright.
Psalm 115:11-18

Jesus came and spoke to them, saying,
All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations . . .
Matthew 28:18-19

I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life; no man comes to the Father but by Me.

If I want to know the universal sovereignty of Christ, I must know Him myself. I must take time to worship the One whose name I bear. Jesus says, “Come to Me . . .”— that is the place to meet Jesus.
(Oswald Chambers)

Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.” Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”
Revelation 3:20, John 14:23

Go therefore . . . .” To “go” simply means to live. Acts 1:8 is the description of how to go (live). Jesus did not say in this verse, “Go into Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria,” but, “. . . you shall be witnesses to Me in [all these places].He takes upon Himself the work of sending us. (Oswald Chambers)

What is the work of God? Fear not only Believe!

He says, “Go on the basis of the revealed truth of My sovereignty, teaching and preaching out of your living experience of Me.”

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you . . .” (John 15:7)— that is the way to keep going. Where we are placed is then a matter of indifference to us, because God sovereignly engineers our goings.
(Oswald Chambers)

For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts.
1 Thessalonians 2:4

None of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus . . .” (Acts 20:24). That is how to keep going until we are gone from this life.
(Oswald Chambers)

As for me, I will behold your face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with your likeness. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see him as He is.They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.
Psalm 17:15, 1 John 3:2, Revelation 22:4

Do not be afraid, I AM your shield and your very great reward. You will have no land or property of your own as the others will have. I AM your possession and your property among them. The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.

Look, I am coming soon, bringing My reward with Me to repay all people according to their deeds. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”

Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life. Outside the city are the dogs—the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie.

I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. I am the bright morning star.”

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.
Revelation 22:12-17

But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’S love is with those who fear Him, and His righteousness with their children’s children–His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation. You, O LORD, reign forever; Your throne endures from generation to generation.
Psalm 103:17, Luke 1:50, Lamentations 5:19

Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations. No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and His servants will worship Him. And they will see His face, and His name will be written on their foreheads. And there will be no night there—no need for lamps or sun—for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever. Then the angel said to me, Everything you have heard and seen is trustworthy and true. The Lord God, who inspires His prophets, has sent His angel to tell His servants what will happen soon.

How we love to “play God” in other people’s lives–especially in those for whom we are diligently praying.
But God wants US to change—to release them to Him for HIS will.

Be driven by the awareness that through Jesus Christ any person can be transformed into a beautiful person.

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” For it is by faith that we walk and not by sight. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has?
Matthew 4:4, 2 Corinthians 5:7, Romans 8:24

I am the bread of life…This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made, that was made.
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
John 6:48, John 1:1-3, 14

As all of us reflect the Lord’s glory with faces that are not covered with veils, we are being changed into his image with ever-increasing glory. This comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For God, who said, Let light shine out of darkness, made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. The light shines in the darkness and it is not overcome.

Enoch walked with God . . .And Abram journeyed,…. He did not stay long in the mountain between Bethel and Hai, but moved from thence, and kept on journeying in the land of Canaan. For he looked for the city which has the foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Genesis 5:24, Genesis 12:9, Hebrews 11:10

Keep your heart with all vigilance; for from it flow the springs of life. As a man thinks in his heart so he is.
Proverbs 4:23, Proverbs 23:7

If we have mistakenly set our heart on something other than God, we too need to return to the Lord with all our heart and direct our heart to Him.

King David was a man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22). As he made preparations to build the temple, he gave this admonition to the people: “Now set your mind and heart to seek the LORD your God. Arise and build the sanctuary of the LORD God.”
1 Chronicles 22:19

Remember God’s servant Moses! Moses did everything just as the LORD commanded him.
Exodus 40:16

Moses was certainly faithful in God’s house as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later. For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
Hebrews 3:5, 4

Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is older he will not depart from it.
My sheep hear My voice and follow Me; the voice of another they will not follow —Jesus

Lord, you are my God; I will exalt You and praise Your name,
for in perfect faithfulness You have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.
Isaiah 25:1

By faith, Moses, when grown, refused the privileges of the Egyptian royal house. He chose a hard life with God’s people rather than an opportunistic soft life of sin with the oppressors. He valued suffering in the Messiah’s camp far greater than Egyptian wealth because he was looking ahead, anticipating the payoff. By an act of faith, he turned his heel on Egypt, indifferent to the king’s blind rage. He had his eye on the One no eye can see, and kept right on going. By an act of faith, he kept the Passover Feast and sprinkled Passover blood on each house so that the destroyer of the firstborn wouldn’t touch them.
Hebrews 11:24-28
God not only delivered Moses but placed him in the palace where he was raised as a prince of Egypt, trained in the ways of the world yet suckled at the breast of Jochebad whose name means, “the glory of God.”

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
2 Corinthians 4:18, Hebrews 11:1

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. The Lord isn’t slow to do what He promised, as some people think. Rather, He is patient for your sake. He doesn’t want to destroy anyone but wants all people to have an opportunity to turn to Him and change the way they think and act.
Ecclesiastes 3:1, 2 Peter 3:9

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. And that you should not lose heart, but that you would be imitators of those who by faith and patience have become heirs of The Promise.
Galatians 6:9, James 5:7, Hebrews 6:12

It is painful work to get in step with God and to keep pace with Him— it means getting your second wind spiritually. In learning to walk with God, there is always the difficulty of getting into His stride, but once we have done so, the only characteristic that exhibits itself is the very life of God Himself. The individual person is merged into a personal oneness with God, and God’s stride and His power alone are exhibited. It is God’s Spirit that changes the atmosphere of our way of looking at things, and then things begin to be possible which before were impossible. Getting into God’s stride means nothing less than oneness with Him. It takes a long time to get there, but keep at it. Don’t give up because the pain is intense right now— get on with it, and before long you will find that you have a new vision and a new purpose.
(Oswald Chambers)

No one who waits for you will ever be put to shame, but all who are unfaithful will be put to shame. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Psalm 25:3, Isaiah 40:31

Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity.
Colossians 4:5

As Moses learned to wait on the Lord. For His ways and thoughts are much higher than ours. Our times are in His hands.

The same God that drew Moses out of the waters into the hands of the daughter of the world’s ruler (Pharaoh) also nursed and raised him at the breast of God’s daughter (Jochebad which means the Lord of Glory!)
It was God who placed Moses in the palace of the world’s power but it was for instruction in how to escape the season of
the tempting pleasures of sin for the spacious abundance of God’s everlastingly free life.
GOD PLACED MOSES in the palace but NOT for what Moses thought at that time…Moses abused the power
which is the WORLD’S WAY not God’s. God’s purpose of placing Moses there was to TRAIN him for SENDING him back God’s Way and God’s Authority. IN GOD’S TIME!!! DUE TIME.
Like being pregnant, you don’t want the baby to come early!!! That would be dangerous.
Likewise the SPIRITUAL BIRTHING the purpose God has placed in our hearts!!!

Suffer the children to come to Me and forbid them not for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven. For you must be born again to enter God’s Way. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life–no man comes to the Father but by Him.

Do Not Worry

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Matthew 6:25-34

Cultivate Inner Beauty

The same goes for you wives: Be good wives to your husbands, responsive to their needs. There are husbands who, indifferent as they are to any words about God, will be captivated by your life of holy beauty. What matters is not your outer appearance—the styling of your hair, the jewelry you wear, the cut of your clothes—but your inner disposition.

Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in. The holy women of old were beautiful before God that way, and were good, loyal wives to their husbands. Sarah, for instance, taking care of Abraham, would address him as “my dear husband.” You’ll be true daughters of Sarah if you do the same, unanxious and unintimidated.
1 Peter 3:1-6

It is the inner beauty in truly being free to serve the Lord with joy and gladness that DELIGHTS and PLEASES the LORD.

It is the joy of Jesus’ saving grace that enlightens and enables with His resurrection power and everlasting life. He enlarges
our capacity to bear all things with sweet enduring faith for His name’s sake and glory. Christ in us is the hope of God’s
glorious kingdom coming into fruition on earth as it is in heaven. We run in the way of His commands as He enlarges
our understanding. As we let His light shine brightly through us others see His good works and give all glory, honor and
praise to the King!
We were created not to be small-minded but big-hearted children of God. A blind man sees with his heart.

Like the lighthouse draws in the desperate and storm-tossed lost ship!

Place Your Life Before God

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

I’m speaking to you out of deep gratitude for all that God has given me, and especially as I have responsibilities in relation to you. Living then, as every one of you does, in pure grace, it’s important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him.

In this way we are like the various parts of a human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around. The body we’re talking about is Christ’s body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn’t amount to much, would we? So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t.

If you preach, just preach God’s Message, nothing else; if you help, just help, don’t take over; if you teach, stick to your teaching; if you give encouraging guidance, be careful that you don’t get bossy; if you’re put in charge, don’t manipulate; if you’re called to give aid to people in distress, keep your eyes open and be quick to respond; if you work with the disadvantaged, don’t let yourself get irritated with them or depressed by them. Keep a smile on your face.

Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it. Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good. Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle.

Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. Help needy Christians; be inventive in hospitality.

Bless your enemies; no cursing under your breath. Laugh with your happy friends when they’re happy; share tears when they’re down. Get along with each other; don’t be stuck-up. Make friends with nobodies; don’t be the great somebody.

Don’t hit back; discover beauty in everyone. If you’ve got it in you, get along with everybody. Don’t insist on getting even; that’s not for you to do. “I’ll do the judging,” says God. “I’ll take care of it.”

Our Scriptures tell us that if you see your enemy hungry, go buy that person lunch, or if he’s thirsty, get him a drink. Your generosity will surprise him with goodness. Don’t let evil get the best of you; get the best of evil by doing good.
Romans 12 The Message (MSG)

We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing Him directly just as He knows us! As for me, I will behold your face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with your likeness
1 Corinthians 13:12, Psalm 17:15

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone–And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.
1 Timothy 2:1, Ephesians 6:18, Philippians 4:6

I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened
(Jairus’ daughter) in order that you may know the hope to which He
has called you (Lazarus), the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe
Ephesians 1:18-19

Who may go up the Lord’s mountain?
Who may stand in His holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart
and does not long for what is false
or lie when he is under oath.
This person will receive a blessing from the Lord
and righteousness from God, his savior.
This is the person who seeks Him,
who searches for the face of the God of Jacob. Selah
Psalm 24:3-6

Let us return to the LORD with all our heart, and direct our heart to Him. Let us set our mind and heart to seek the Lord our God. In the uprightness of our heart let us direct our hearts toward God.

For it is the God who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ
2 Corinthians 4:6

In that day they will say,

Surely this is our God; we trusted in Him, and He saved us.
This is the Lord, we trusted in Him; let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”

The hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain; but Moab will be trampled in their land as straw is trampled down in the manure.
They will stretch out their hands in it, as swimmers stretch out their hands to swim.
God will bring down their pride despite the cleverness of their hands.
He will bring down your high fortified walls and lay them low;
He will bring them down to the ground, to the very dust
Isaiah 25:9-12

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power. Hebrews 1:3

“When My glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by.”.
Exodus 33:22

The Lord isn’t slow to do what He promised, as some people think. Rather, He is patient for your sake. He doesn’t want to destroy anyone but wants all people to have an opportunity to turn to Him and change the way they think and act.

God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act?
Does He promise and not fulfill? Not a single one of all the good promises the LORD had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything He had spoken came true.
Numbers 23:19, Joshua 21:45

He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
Psalm 91:4

And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.
Deuteronomy 31:8

Father I have no fear of the future for I know that You are in control and hold the future in Your hand. Amen

For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

Be not dismayed, whatever betide God will take care of you.
Beneath His wings of love abide, God will take care of you.

For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. For Adam was formed first, then Eve

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works. With good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.

And the woman fled to the wilderness, where she had a place prepared by God where she would be sustained 1260 days. The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the desert, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach.
And I will give power to My two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.“–GOD
Revelation 12:6, 14; Revelation 11:3

Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.
Daniel 12:12, Psalm 63:7

Do not withhold Your mercy from me, O LORD; may Your love and Your truth always protect me.
Psalm 40:11

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of His will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.
Colossians 1:9

It was when God finished giving Job the new REVELATION of Who He really was that Job SUDDENLY KNEW ALL WAS WELL with him and with the whole universe!
God was and always has been, in control.
The combatant turned into the worshiper.

Job’s “whys” turned to “Who.

Who do you say I AM.

My ears had heard of You but now my eyes have seen You.
Job 42:5

And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
Acts 10:38

Jesus is God’s Living Word; All of God’s Promises are “Yes and Amen” in Christ Jesus. Our Maker is our Husband; we are our Beloved’s and He is ours. As Kinsman-Redeemer, He fulfilled all the law and the prophets and is saying to His Bride even as Boaz said to Ruth,

My daughter, listen to me. Don’t go and glean in another field and don’t go away from here. Stay here with the women who work for me. Watch the field where the men are harvesting, and follow along after the women. I have told the men not to lay a hand on you. And whenever you are thirsty, go and get a drink from the water jars the men have filled.”
Ruth 2:8-9

Like birds hovering overhead, the LORD Almighty will shield Jerusalem; He will shield it and deliver it, He will ‘pass over‘ it and will rescue it. “I have put My words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of My hand–I who set the heavens in place, who laid the foundations of the earth, and who say to Zion, ‘You are My people.'”
Isaiah 31:5, Isaiah 51:16

Go, My people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until His wrath has passed by.
The LORD watches over you–the LORD is your shade at your right hand.
Isaiah 26:20, Psalm 121:5

Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in Him.
Psalm 17:8, Psalm 18:30
Jesus is the crowned prince of peace and great peace have all they that love His Royal Law of Unfailing Love and Enduring Truth.

It takes both faith and patience to inherit God’s promises and Jesus is saying, “Never betray My trust – get over “it” and keeping walking in My will.”

We are to remain in Him and His Word remains alive in us.
For apart from Him we can do nothing but in Him is our fruit found.
We shall come rejoicing bringing in the sheaves.
Those who sow in tears reap with joyful shouts!

Oh lift up ye heads oh ye gates and let the King of Glory enter in.

Who is this King of Glory? The Lord Strong and Mighty.

The trees of the field clap their hands.

To Joyous shouts.

Oh clap ye hands oh ye people shout unto God with a voice of TRIUMPH!

For the Lord is good and no good thing does He withhold for those who walk uprightly with Him

There is a reward for your labors for it is not in vain In the Lord!

God promises to protect His loyal followers. He gives us His to drink Living Water and the Bread of Life to eat.
We love because He first loved us. There’s going to be a wedding feast soon for the King is coming back for His beloved bride.

For in just a very little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay.

I will repay you. I will richly reward you. I, the God of Israel under whose wings you have come to take refuge. May the LORD repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.
How priceless is Your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
Ruth 2:12, Psalm 36:7

Thank You for loving me. Thank You that I am the apple of You eye. Touch not my …and do my prophets no harm. He who touches you is as doing it unto Me. Draw me nearer precious Lord and let our spirits stream together as One. Amen.

Covenant People

How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?

The remnant that are left of the captivity…are in great affliction and reproach; the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire…I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven.”
Nehemiah 1:3-4

Nehemiah saw the devastation of his people and decided to DO something about it.

As a CUPBEARER to the king, he heard of the great affliction and reproach among his people and the condition of the wall of Jerusalem.

He was so sad and MOVED with compassion that it COMPELLED him to fasting and prayer.

And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you, he shall not lose his reward. He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and He will reward him for what he has done. God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.

Here was a nation of people that God had made a COVENANT with, who were SET APART to be ABOVE ALL other nations. They had been abundantly blessed and now they were in a state of reproach, of shame. They did not follow God’s commandments and were defeated in battle.

Nehemiah sought God for a solution and God showed him what to DO.

The body of Christ today has been given this same covenant of blessings and victory. I want to be like Nehemiah MOVED with compassion and mercy.

Those in captivity, reproach, or shame need to receive God’s covenant. We have been SET APART for THIS time, for THIS community, for our area of influence. We have the ANSWER and the ability and power of the Holy Spirit in us. God will give us solutions to meet every need.

And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day..

Let’s be DRIVEN to seek God like Nehemiah, to be MOVED by compassion and bring reconciliation, restoration and healing to broken lives.

Father, In Jesus’ name, I thank You that You have given me the ability to minister to those You are sending me. I thank You for Your compassion and mercy as I minister to those You have placed in my area of influence. Amen.

We are our brothers’ keepers. Are you weak and heavy laden, let me help you take it to the Lord in prayer. And the prayer of faith heals the one who is ill and our Lord raises him up; and if sins were done by him, they are forgiven him.

To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.
Titus 1:15

A certain kind of person thinks he is pure but is not washed from his own feces. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. Human pride will be brought down, and human arrogance will be humbled. Only the LORD will be exalted on that day of judgment.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations–
Hebrews 11:1, 1 Peter 4:17, Revelation 2:26

But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul.
Hebrews 10:39
You have condemned and murdered innocent men, who were not opposing you. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
James 5:6, Ephesians 6:12

If I tell the righteous man that he will surely live, but then he trusts in his righteousness and does evil, none of the righteous things he has done will be remembered; he will die for the evil he has done. See, he is puffed up; his desires are not upright–but the righteous will live by his faith–

Why do you keep calling me ‘Lord, Lord,’ but don’t do what I tell you?
Luke 6:46

A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If I am a father, where is the honor due Me? If I am a master, where is the respect due Me? says the LORD Almighty.
It is you, O priests, who show contempt for My name. “But you ask, ‘How have we shown contempt for Your name?
Malachi 1:6

Although Jesus was the Son of God, He learned to be obedient through His sufferings.
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself and became obedient to death–
even death on a cross!
But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.
Hebrews 5:8, Philippians 2:8, Isaiah 53:5

Faith and Deeds

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.

In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
James 2:14-26

The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself:God, I thank you that I am not like other men–robbers, evildoers, adulterers–or even like this tax collector.’
Luke 18:11

That man had no room for God because he was so full of SELF-PRIDE.
He got his reward for what he did was theft by deception to receive the praise of men. Jesus Christ did not commend him for this
dialogue. There was no relating to God whatsoever because Jesus is very clear that He calls those His friends and family IF they do whatever He tells them and He only does the will of the Father who sent Him.

Jesus did not come to call the healthy but the sick to repent–to
turn around and come to Him who is the Living Word sent by God the Father to heal and deliver from sin and destruction. Those who say they have no sin, make Him out to be a liar but Jesus is The Way,
The Truth and The Life and no man comes to the Father except by Him.
They are of their father, the devil, for the truth is not in them.

The Father is seeking those who will really worship Him–in spirit and in truth.

Yes Jesus was right–the harlots and tax collectors are entering the Kingdom ahead of the scholars of the law and the Pharisees are standing on the wrong side of the door. Jesus is the door to Life everlasting and more Abundant. There is no room for shallow pedantic thinking in the heart of the Father who gave His only Son that whosoever believes will not perish. Faith without works is dead. Faith works by love for apart from Him we can do nothing.

Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 7:21

If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right.
James 2:8

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
James 1:22

But Christ, as the Son, is in charge of God’s entire house. And we are God’s house, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ. In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Hebrews 3:6, Ephesians 3:12, Galatians 6:10

The person who has God’s approval will live by faith. But if he turns back, I will not be pleased with him. Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, The righteous will live by faith.

(for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.
Hebrews 7:19, Hebrews 4:14

We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. The Sovereign LORD has opened my ears, and I have not been rebellious; I have not drawn back.
Hebrews 3:14, Isaiah 50:5

How blessed are those who wash their robes! The Tree of Life is theirs for good, and they’ll walk through the gates to the City. But outside for good are the filthy curs: sorcerers, fornicators, murderers, idolaters—all who love and live lies. One day in your courtyards is better than a thousand anywhere else.
I would rather stand in the entrance to my God’s house than live inside wicked people’s homes.

Their tongues shoot out lies like a bow shoots arrows—
A mighty army of liars, the sworn enemies of truth.
They advance from one evil to the next, ignorant of Me
God’s Decree.
Be wary of even longtime neighbors. Don’t even trust your grandmother! Brother schemes against brother, like old cheating Jacob. Friend against friend spreads malicious gossip.
Neighbors gyp neighbors, never telling the truth.
They’ve trained their tongues to tell lies,
and now they can’t tell the truth.
They pile wrong upon wrong, stack lie upon lie,
and refuse to know Me
God’s Decree.
Jeremiah 9:3-6

This Is a Rebel Generation:

If God were your father,” said Jesus, “you would love me, for I came from God and arrived here. I didn’t come on my own. He sent me. Why can’t you understand one word I say? Here’s why: You can’t handle it. You’re from your father, the Devil, and all you want to do is please him. He was a killer from the very start. He couldn’t stand the truth because there wasn’t a shred of truth in him. When the Liar speaks, he makes it up out of his lying nature and fills the world with lies. I arrive on the scene, tell you the plain truth, and you refuse to have a thing to do with me. Can any one of you convict me of a single misleading word, a single sinful act? But if I’m telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? Anyone on God’s side listens to God’s words. This is why you’re not listening—because you’re not on God’s side. Why do you call me, Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say? ~ Jesus of Nazareth

There’s nothing wrong with God; the wrong is in you.
Your wrongheaded lives caused the split between you and God.
Your sins got between you so that He doesn’t hear.
Your hands are drenched in blood, your fingers dripping with guilt,
Your lips smeared with lies, your tongue swollen from muttering obscenities. No one speaks up for the right, no one deals fairly.
They trust in illusion, they tell lies.
Isaiah 59:2-4

“‘Because you’ve confounded and confused good people, unsuspecting and innocent people, with your lies, and because you’ve made it easy for others to persist in evil so that it wouldn’t even dawn on them to turn to Me so I could save them, as of now you’re finished. No more delusion-mongering from you, no more sermonic lies. I’m going to rescue My people from your clutches. And you’ll realize that I am God.
Ezekiel 13:22-23

So, go now and write all this down. Put it in a book
So that the record will be there to instruct the coming generations,
Because this is a rebel generation, a people who lie,
A people unwilling to listen to anything God tells them.
They tell their spiritual leaders,

Don’t bother us with irrelevancies.”

They tell their preachers,

Don’t waste our time on impracticalities.
Tell us what makes us feel better.
Don’t bore us with obsolete religion.
That stuff means nothing to us.
Quit hounding us with The Holy of Israel
Isaiah 30:8-11

God can’t stomach liars; He loves the company of those who keep their word. The wicked crawl from the wrong side of the cradle;
their first words out of the womb are lies.
Poison, lethal rattlesnake poison, drips from their forked tongues—
Deaf to threats, deaf to charm, decades of wax built up in their ears.
Proverbs 12:2, Psalm 58:3-5

Our wrongdoings pile up before you, God, our sins stand up and accuse us. Our wrongdoings stare us down; we know in detail what we’ve done: Mocking and denying God, not following our God.
Isaiah 59:12-13

Don’t make quick work of them, God, lest my people forget.
Bring them down in slow motion, take them apart piece by piece.
Let all their mean-mouthed arrogance catch up with them,
Catch them out and bring them down
—every muttered curse
—every barefaced lie.
Finish them off in fine style! Finish them off for good!
Then all the world will see that God rules well in Jacob,
everywhere that God’s in charge.
Psalm 59:-11-13

What this adds up to, then, is this: no more lies, no more pretense. Tell your neighbor the truth. In Christ’s body we’re all connected to each other, after all. When you lie to others, you end up lying to yourself.
Ephesians 4:25

Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always. I’m asking God for one thing, only one thing: To live with Him in His house my whole life long.
I’ll contemplate His beauty; I’ll study at His feet. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

This is the Lord’s Generation:

God is at their side; with God’s help they make it.
This, Jacob, is what happens to God-seekers, God-questers.
Psalm 24:5-6

Blessed are you who give yourselves over to God,
turn your backs on the world’s “sure thing,”
ignore what the world worships;
The world’s a huge stockpile of God-wonders and God-thoughts.
Nothing and no one comes close to You!
I start talking about You, telling what I know,
and quickly run out of words.
Neither numbers nor words account for You.
Psalm 40:4-5

“…true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship him in spirit and in truth”
John 4:23-24

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.
The world and all its people belong to Him.
For He laid the earth’s foundation on the seas & built it on the ocean depths.

Who may climb the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in His holy place?
Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols
and never tell lies.
They will receive the Lord’s blessing
and have a right relationship with God their savior.
Such people may seek You
and worship in Your presence, O God of Jacob.
Psalm 24:1-6

Those who gather wealth by lying are wasting time.
They are looking for death.
Truth lasts; lies are here today, gone tomorrow.
Proverbs 21:6, Proverbs 12:19

Souls are saved by truthful witness and betrayed by the spread of lies.
Proverbs 14:25

Now listen to God’s Message, you scoffers,
you who rule this people in Jerusalem.

You say, “We’ve taken out good life insurance.
We’ve hedged all our bets, covered all our bases.
No disaster can touch us. We’ve thought of everything.
We’re advised by the experts. We’re set

The Meaning of the Stone

But the Master, God, has something to say to this:

Watch closely. I’m laying a foundation in Zion,
a solid granite foundation, squared and true.
And this is the meaning of the stone:
a trusting life won’t topple.

I’ll make justice the measuring stick
and righteousness the plumb line for the building.
A hailstorm will knock down the shantytown of lies,
and a flash flood will wash out the rubble
Isaiah 28:14-17

You’re Not In The Driver’s Seat
(aka Jesus Take The Wheel!)

The people of an evil and unfaithful era look for a miraculous sign. But the only sign they will get is the sign of the prophet Jonah.~Jesus of Nazareth

At the Bottom of the Sea

Then Jonah prayed to his God from the belly of the fish.

He prayed:

In trouble, deep trouble, I prayed to God.
He answered me.
From the belly of the grave I cried, ‘Help!’
You heard my cry.
You threw me into ocean’s depths,
into a watery grave,
With ocean waves, ocean breakers
crashing over me.
I said, ‘I’ve been thrown away,
thrown out, out of your sight.
I’ll never again lay eyes
on your Holy Temple.’
Ocean gripped me by the throat.
The ancient Abyss grabbed me and held tight.
My head was all tangled in seaweed
at the bottom of the sea where the mountains take root.
I was as far down as a body can go,
and the gates were slamming shut behind me forever—
Yet you pulled me up from that grave alive,
O God, my God!
When my life was slipping away,
I remembered God,
And my prayer got through to you,
made it all the way to your Holy Temple.
Those who worship hollow gods, god-frauds,
walk away from their only true love.
But I’m worshiping you, God,
calling out in thanksgiving!
And I’ll do what I promised I’d do!
Salvation belongs to God!

Jonah 2:1-9

Don’t be afraid. And now here’s what I want you to do: Tell the truth, the whole truth, when you speak. Do the right thing by one another, both personally and in your courts. Don’t cook up plans to take unfair advantage of others. Don’t do or say what isn’t so. I hate all that stuff. Keep your lives simple and honest. ~Decree of God.

God Is in Charge at the Center

In the end I will turn things around for the people.
I’ll give them a language undistorted, unpolluted,
Words to address God in worship
and, united, to serve me with their shoulders to the wheel.
They’ll come from beyond the Ethiopian rivers,
they’ll come praying—
All my scattered, exiled people
will come home with offerings for worship.
You’ll no longer have to be ashamed
of all those acts of rebellion.
I’ll have gotten rid of your arrogant leaders.
No more pious strutting on my holy hill!
I’ll leave a core of people among you
who are poor in spirit—
What’s left of Israel that’s really Israel.
They’ll make their home in God.
This core holy people
will not do wrong.
They won’t lie,
won’t use words to flatter or seduce.
Content with who they are and where they are,
unanxious, they’ll live at peace

Men will say, Surely there is a reward for the uncompromisingly righteous; surely there is a God Who judges on the earth.

He Loves Me!

Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever.
Psalm 136:26

And He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. You are my hiding place; You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah All mankind will fear; they will proclaim the works of God and ponder what He has done.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His,
we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise;
give thanks to Him and praise His name.

For the Lord is good and His love endures forever;
His faithfulness continues through all generations.
Psalm 100

Love the LORD, all His saints!
The LORD preserves the faithful, but the proud He pays back in full. Psalm 31:23

They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings–and with Him will be His called, chosen and faithful followers.
Revelation 17:14

But no one says, ‘Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night.’
Job 35:10

I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. You are my King and my God, who decrees victories for Jacob. On my bed I remember You; I think of You through the watches of the night.

Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.
Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord. Ephesians 5:19

Fear none of those things which you will suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation ten days: be faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life.
Revelation 2:10

I know where you live–where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to My name. You did not renounce your faith in Me, even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city–where Satan lives.
Revelation 2:13

Since you have kept My command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
Revelation 3:10-11

Yet the LORD will command his loving kindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer to the God of my life. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
Revelation 12:11

Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training.
They do it to get a crown that will not last;
but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
1 Corinthians 9:25

Please test your servants for ten days:
Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink.

Daniel 1:12
So he agreed to this and tested them for ten days.
Daniel 1:14

In the night I remember Your name, O LORD, and I will keep Your law. Psalm 119:55

What then shall we say, brothers?
When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation.
All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

And they sang a new song:

You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slain, and with Your blood You purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.”
1 Corinthians 14:26, Colossians 3:16, Revelation 5:9

He that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.
Hebrews 11:6, Hebrews 6:11-12

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. Then the end will come, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.

In Acts 16, we read of the faithful endurance of Paul and Silas in Prison and how God not only delivered them but set free their fellow prisoners and the jailer and his whole family. The purpose of our trials, tests and tribulations is to be of good cheer to demonstrate the never ending love of God that fails not for nothing can separate us from His great love that laid down Himself for us. Jesus already told us that in the world we would have much tribulations but to be of good cheer for He has overcome the world! It’s only a matter of time and what’s that in light of Eternal life with Him?

Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a female slave who had a spirit by which she predicted the future.
She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling. She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting,

These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.”

She kept this up for many days.

Finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and said to the spirit,

In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!
At that moment the spirit left her.

When her owners realized that their hope of making money was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to face the authorities.

They brought them before the magistrates and said,

These men are Jews, and are throwing our city into an uproar by advocating customs unlawful for us Romans to accept or practice.”

The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods.

After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully.

When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.

Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.

The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped.

But Paul shouted,

Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!

The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas.

He then brought them out and asked,

Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

They replied,

Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”

Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized. The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household.

Because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints. Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.

When it was daylight, the magistrates sent their officers to the jailer with the order:

Release those men.”

The jailer told Paul,

The magistrates have ordered that you and Silas be released.
Now you can leave. Go in peace

But Paul said to the officers:

They beat us publicly without a trial, even though we are Roman citizens, and threw us into prison. And now do they want to get rid of us quietly? No! Let them come themselves and escort us out.”

The officers reported this to the magistrates, and when they heard that Paul and Silas were Roman citizens, they were alarmed.

They came to appease them and escorted them from the prison, requesting them to leave the city.

After Paul and Silas came out of the prison, they went to Lydia’s house, where they met with the brothers and sisters and encouraged them. Then they left.
Acts 16:16-40

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song. When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were afraid and lost their self-confidence, because they realized that this work had been done with the help of our God. Then this city will bring Me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it. The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow. At that time they will call Jerusalem The Throne of the LORD, and all nations will gather in Jerusalem to honor the name of the LORD. No longer will they follow the stubbornness of their evil hearts. O LORD, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress, to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, Our fathers possessed nothing but false gods, worthless idols that did them no good. The days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will fulfill the gracious promise I made to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the LORD bestows His blessing, even life forevermore.
