A Love Story
No one who is LOVED is ever useless or worthless.
For God expressed His love for the world in this way: He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not face everlasting destruction, but will have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful Word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. (Hebrews 1:3)
Since Jesus has been lifted to the right hand of God—the highest place of authority and power—and since Jesus has received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, He has now poured out what you have seen and heard here today. (Acts 2:33) The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you had put to death by hanging Him on a cross. He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him. (Acts 5:31-32) AND repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. (Luke 24:47)
God’s Love Never Fails
Only God works great miracles.
God saw the trouble we were in.
God’s love never fails.
He rescued us from our enemies.
God’s love never fails.
He gives food to all who live.
God’s love never fails.
Praise God in heaven!
God’s love never fails.
(Psalm 136:4; 23-26)
And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. (Acts 10:38)
“I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.” —Jesus speaking in John 12:46
Justified by Faith
But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:21-23)
In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The LORD Our Righteous Savior.
Father, make my life a witness to the light of Your great love so that others may see that Your ways and Your thoughts are much higher than our own. That we might come to You for healing and deliverance from the destructive forces of sin and death. And that we may carry those who are unable to due to the debilitating effects of the sin of the flesh. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. But You are the Source of all joy and Your joy is our strength! We are encouraged (strengthened) to rise up and walk in the light of Your great love in Christ Jesus!
The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light! If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the Blood of Jesus cleanses us from ALL un-righteousness. It is in Christ that we live, move and have our BEING for we are ALL members of one another in His body. A body not formed of flesh and blood but by the Washing of the Water of Your Word and by the Blood of the Sinless Lamb of God that took away the death penalty of sin and was raised to newness of life by the Spirit of the Living God. In Christ there are no hindrances — no borders —no limits —no barriers to INTIMACY in RELATION to our Father in heaven. We walk as Jesus did on earth as it is in heaven in perfect ONENESS, the TRUE UNITY of brothers. Jesus is the Firstborn of many brethren. He is the Way, the Truth
and the Life; No one comes to the Father except through Him. (John 14:6)
As Jesus is the EXACT IMAGE of the Father, He CALLS all the prodigals (runaways) to
return home in Him; He INVITES all the strangers into His family. As Christ’s brotherhood of faith, we are sent to bear witness to the truth and spirit that our inheritance is only found in Him according to the Will of the Father. We live NOT by our will but HIS.
As Christ had to choose the way through suffering and the cruelty of bearing our sin to death on the cross in order to break down every wall of resistance against our entering into the fullness of life so we must join with Him daily bearing our cross, laying down our flesh with its SUSCEPTIBILITY to the devil’s schemes and devices to walk with Him in spirit and in truth.
This is the victory that overcomes the world–even our faith!
Jesus is already the victory; the devil is defeated. Sin has lost its sting. The sting of sin is death but Jesus came and destroyed ALL the works of the devil; He came that we may have life and to the fullest!
One IN Christ
But now IN Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into ONE and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing IN His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that IN Himself He might make the two into ONE new man, thus establishing peace. (Ephesians 2:13-15)
Many Members, One Body
For even as the body is ONE and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are ONE body, so also is Christ. For by ONE Spirit we were all baptized into ONE body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of ONE Spirit. For the BODY is not ONE member, but many. (1 Corinthians 12:12-14)
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice,
“Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.” (John 7:37)
We are called to be Living–Intimate–Witnesses
Evildoers do not understand what is right, but those who seek the LORD understand it fully.
“Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.” –Jesus, speaking in Matthew 13:11
Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever–“ (Jesus, speaking in John 14:16)
“I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” (Jesus, speaking in Luke 24:49)
“These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you.”
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.”
(Jesus, speaking in John 14:25-26)
At first his disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done to him.
After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken. (John 2:22)
“When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father–the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father–he will testify about me.” (Jesus, speaking in John 15:26)
It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.
That we might walk worthy that we fulfill the law of Christ and carry one another in prayer to the LORD who alone can heal and deliver from sin and death. Even as the four faithful friends carried the paralyzed, crippled, disabled, invalid, debilitated man unto Jesus—who saw THEIR
faith and REWARDED it by setting the man free to walk with God in spirit and in truth through
forgiveness of sin and healing him to walk WORTHY with Him.
No one is ever worthless with God.
No one who is loved by God is ever useless.
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. (Colossians 1:10)
Come, come the Father is calling for you –by name.
Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart.
Today, if you hear His Voice, harden not your voice in rebellion; but respond to Him in willingness and He will enter the innermost chambers of your heart and bring joy and lightness
in newness of His really true and abundant life. In His presence is fullness of joy–the joy of the Lord is your strength. Fear not only believe! Be of good cheer for He has overcome the world.
This is the victory that overcomes the world—even our faith.
I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being. (Ephesians 3:16)
That you might know the hope of your calling – which is Christ in you, the hope of God’s glory!
Let your light so shine before men that they will see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. His kingdom come –on earth as it is in heaven. WE have the keys to the kingdom. It is the Father’s good pleasure to give us, His children, the kingdom. We have the authority of His Word and the power of His Spirit to influence lives for Christ. This is the Gospel—Good News in deed—that the curse of sin is broken and death defeated in the Resurrected Risen Lord Jesus Christ!
We proclaim this truth that Jesus is Lord of Life and that the powers of darkness must flee from His great light! That nothing can impede or impair or interrupt the flow of God’s unfailing love in the face of Jesus Christ.
The LORD bless you, and keep you; The LORD make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.’
Never Betray My Trust – Get OVER “it” and Keep Walking In My Will
This is the victory that OVER comes the world—even our faith.
For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed–a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
Since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. (Romans 3:30)
You spread out a table before me,
provisions in the midst of attack from my enemies;
You care for all my needs, anointing my head with soothing, fragrant oil,
filling my cup again and again with Your grace. (Psalm 23:5)
When the meal was prepared, Jesus sat at the table, joined by His emissaries.
(Light-Bearers who bear intimate witness that He is the Resurrection and the Life).
The meal that Jesus and His disciples shared is still celebrated today among followers of Jesus. We surround it with varied rituals and music, but the original meal took place in the midst of great drama and tension. The disciples were arguing, and Jesus was teaching them yet another lesson about life in the kingdom of God. Jesus even spoke of His own suffering and their betrayal and denial. Yet through it all, Jesus’ focus remained on the central theme of His life and mission: the coming of the kingdom of God.
Jesus: It has been My deep desire to eat this Passover meal with you before My suffering begins. Know this: I will not eat another Passover meal until its meaning is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
He took a cup of wine and gave thanks for it.
Jesus: Take this; share it among yourselves. Know this: I will not drink another sip of wine until the kingdom of God has arrived in fullness.
Then He took bread, gave thanks, broke it, and shared it with them.
Jesus: This is My body, My body given for you. Do this to remember Me.
And similarly, after the meal had been eaten, He took the cup.
Jesus: This cup, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant, made in My blood. But even now, the hand of My betrayer is with Me on this table. As it has been determined, the Son of Man, that firstfruit of a new generation of humanity, must be betrayed, but how pitiful it will be for the person who betrays Him. (Luke 22:14-22)
“Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant shall be uprooted. “Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”
God’s Seed is Mighty in the earth today! His fruit remains forever!
To all who mourn in Israel, He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for His own glory. (Isaiah 61:3)
Now he who plants and he who waters are ONE; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
(1 Corinthians 3:8-9) The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to Him.
Cursed is the one who trusts in human strength and the abilities of mere mortals.
His very heart strays from the Eternal.
He is like a little shrub in the desert that never grows;
he will see no good thing come his way.
He will live in a desert wasteland,
a barren land of salt where no one lives.
But blessed is the one who trusts in Me alone;
the Eternal will be his confidence.
He is like a tree planted by water,
sending out its roots beside the stream.
It does not fear the heat or even drought.
Its leaves stay green and its fruit is dependable, no matter what it faces.
The choices and consequences are clear. Rely on people alone, and life will be tough and brutish. Rely on the one True God, and life will be rich and productive.
The heart is most devious and incurably sick.
Who can understand it?
It is I, the Eternal One, who probes the innermost heart
and examines the innermost thoughts.
I will compensate each person justly,
according to his ways and by what his actions deserve.
Like a partridge that hatches eggs that are not hers,
so is the person who gains wealth unfairly.
In the middle of his life a fool’s money will abandon him.
In the end he, too, will be shown for what he is—a fool.
What the enemy intended for evil…God will turn around for your good! That His name may be glorified on earth as it is in heaven. Like Joseph. Like Job.
So what should we say about all of this? If God is on our side, then tell me: whom should we fear? If He did not spare His own Son, but handed Him over on our account, then don’t you think that He will graciously give us all things with Him? Can anyone be so bold as to level a charge against God’s chosen? Especially since God’s “not guilty” verdict is already declared. Who has the authority to condemn? Jesus the Anointed who died, but more importantly, conquered death when He was raised to sit at the right hand of God where He pleads on our behalf. So who can separate us? What can come between us and the love of God’s Anointed? Can troubles, hardships, persecution, hunger, poverty, danger, or even death? The answer is, absolutely nothing.
As the psalm says,
On Your behalf, our lives are endangered constantly;
we are like sheep awaiting slaughter.
But no matter what comes, we will always taste victory through Him who loved us. For I have every confidence that nothing—not death, life, heavenly messengers, dark spirits, the present, the future, spiritual powers, height, depth, nor any created thing—can come between us and the love of God revealed in the Anointed, Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:31-39)
Never Forget, we are not alone. Turn your life over to Jesus for you are not able to bear it on your own. But God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you always having all sufficiency in all things may abound to every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)
Faith Brings Peace and Joy
…and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
It takes Faith AND Patience to Inherit God’s Promises
Be not like the elder brother who was out working in the father’s fields who seeing the victorious
feast celebrating the return of his brother’s wandering heart, was jealous. Remember all that belongs to the Father is ours in Christ Jesus.
Today in Jesus’ name I bind the spirit of jealousy off God’s children on earth as it is in heaven.
In its place we loose the Love of God through the Spirit of Truth on earth as it is in heaven Draw near to God and He will draw near to you—wash your hands and purify your hearts in the pure water of life that flows from the lamb’s life blood. Submit your lives completely into His hands and in so doing, resist the devil, and he flees from you! Amen.
