God has given each of you a gift from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. (1 Peter 4:10) Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed. (1 Corinthians 4:1)
For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?
(1 Corinthians 4:7)
just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. (Matthew 20:28) –And whoever desires to be first among you shall be your bondservant. (Matthew 20:27)
A SON HONORS HIS FATHER; HONOR JESUS BY SERVING AS HE SERVED.
WHEN YOU’VE SEEN JESUS, YOU’VE SEEN THE FATHER.
True “success” is being left with the realization that you have been a good steward of the life, liberties, possibilities and opportunities that God offered you.
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God. (2 Corinthians 3:5)
God is ABLE to make ALL grace ABOUND towards you; that you, ALWAYS having ALL sufficiency in ALL things may ABOUND to EVERY good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)
God brings “success“
Promotion comes from the Lord.
The authority to reward someone does not come from the east, from the west, or even from the wilderness. (Psalm 75:6)
For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves. (Luke 22:27)
The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honor is humility.
The Lord gives grace and glory–The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.
Surely Your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever. (Psalm 23:6)
—and whoever wants to be first must be your slave—
I know that I am nothing without You.
Unless the LORD builds the house they labor in vain that build it.
My Father’s house is to be a house of prayer for the nations,
not a gathering place for thieves.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. (John 10:10)
God loves us so much that He has dedicated and consecrated Himself to work everything out for our good. He chastens for our profit. He intends every loss to be that through which we can gain.
Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ. (Philippians 3:8)
Jesus prayed for ALL of us in John 17.
Even as He told Peter that He had prayed for him and that when he is converted to STRENGTHEN the brethren.
And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. (1 Peter 5:10, 12)
I have written to you briefly, encouraging you and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3 All who have this hope in Him purify themselves, just as He is pure.
Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that He appeared so that He might take away our sins. And in Him is no sin. No one who lives in Him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen Him or known Him.
Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as He is righteous. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. 9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.
More on Love and Hatred
For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous. Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and He knows everything. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from Him anything we ask, because we keep His commands and do what pleases Him. And this is His command: to believe in the name of hHis Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as He commanded us. The one who keeps God’s commands lives in Him, and He in them. And this is how we know that He lives in us: We know it by the Spirit He gave us.
