It’s time to get right with God.
It’s time to get real about Jesus.
“From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can snatch anyone out of my hand. No one can undo what I have done.”
Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting You are God.
“Who has done this and carried it through, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I, the LORD–with the first of them and with the last–I am He.”
All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as He pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back His hand or say to Him: “What have you done?“
The earth is the Lord’s – The whole world belongs to God. He is the Creator of the earth, and therefore, its Proprietor; or, in other words, “the property vests in Him.”
Psalm 24:1 paraphrased
God is not limited or restrained by time or space. Therefore, all religion, sects,
denominations of man, literally seek to “box” or “compartmentalize” the Eternal
which is not only possible but pitiful in its pathetic posturing.
If God seems remote, it is you who are stuck in a rut.
Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.
In Genesis 3:9, when God called to the man, “Where are you?” it was Adam who
had turned from God after an act of willful rebellion. God was still reaching out to
His child. Nothing can separate us from His unfailing love. Neither fig leaves or
figments of our imagination. We have a Father in heaven who so loved us that
He demonstrated that great love by sending His one and only Son to take our
sins and nail them to the cross. That Son rose and lives interceding for us.
He is a very present help in time of need. He never leaves or forsake us even
to the very end of the age.
When Jesus walked the earth, many did not recognize the time of His visitation and the great opportunity to walk in abundance of liberty as true sons and daughters of the One who is Faithful and True.
Did God forsake those of His errant children simply because they did not perceive Him as Saving Lord? No, not at all.
The hearts of men wake at various seasons just as there are specific times and seasons for every creature under the sky. Some mens’ hearts awaken sooner than
others, as in the case of Jairus’ daughter who awoke at the age of twelve when Jesus who is the Living Word of Almighty God, said, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”
Others, as in the case of Lazarus, appear to be lost causes in the sight of men but
nothing is impossible with God.
To be absent from the body is to be present with God. From Jesus’ vantage point, He knew exactly where Lazarus spirit went after leaving his earthen shell.
God is a spirit and those who worship Him must do so in spirit and in truth.
God is not narrowed down and confined and written in stone subject to the laws of time and space.
Remember He is a very present help in time of need. But when He seems to be
late, remember we have a great need for patience.
Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
Just as it requires the seasons to prepare the ground for sowing seed, watering, seed and growing seed to produce an abundant harvest, even so the hearts of mankind
created from the dust as they revive to the condition of a heart responsive to the voice and touch of the LORD, we require time.
God is Faithful and True yet when Jesus returns, He wants to know will He find
anyone faithful awaiting Him.
We must not allow time to distort our perception of the reality of God. Nothing
should distract our focus on the Immutable Lord who longs for mens’ hearts to return to Him the love He sowed into the earth at the cross.
Don’t let the restraints of time and space blind your perspective and fall short
of the heavenly vision. God sent His Word to heal and deliver from sin and death.
There is a balm in Gilead! A Savior who is Christ the Lord!
” I advise you to buy gold from Me—gold made pure in fire. Then you will be rich. I tell you this: Buy clothes that are white. Then you will be able to cover your shameful nakedness. I also tell you to buy medicine to put on your eyes. Then you will be able to see.”
Why waste your time and money on what will perish? Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
In Acts 6:15, the apostle Stephen was stoned by the elders of the law and those who considered themselves devout in religion yet only to Stephen were the heavens opened and the Son of God appeared. Again, they were limited in perspective
by the great chasm of their hearts—they allowed their mind set to block the
heavenly vision. However, they did take note that there was something different in Stephen for it was written, that his face was like the face of an angel.
Even Moses had to cover his face with a veil for the glow from the presence
of God. We have a heavenly Father who desires our intimate relations with
Him as opposed to religious observances.
At the stoning of Stephen stood a very religious man who prided himself on his heritage as a “good man.” Yet he was standing with the enemies of God for
when he was on his way to continue rounding up the followers of the Way,
Jesus appeared to Saul while on the way to Damascus. saying–
“Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”
It took a revelation of the RISEN Saving Lord, Jesus Christ to open the eyes
of a religious mind. For three days, Saul remained blinded by his heavenly encounter.
On the third day, God sent one Ananias to release the fulness of vision to Saul.
Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord–Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here–has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
We are instructed to pray without ceasing, as well as to pray for those who persecute us. I do believe that God in His infinite wisdom is preparing our hearts as the soil
that receives the seed and is weathered by the seasons, to go where sent and
bring forth fruit until Eternity. Many of us are Ananias in the making.
These are hearts full of compassion and tender mercies that look at another and
remember, there but for the grace of God, go I.
The name “Ananias” means God is gracious.
In the Tabernacle, the priests were prepared for service for seven days.
It took a full seven days to consecrate them (Leviticus 8:33) and then they emerged from the Tabernacle on the eighth day.
The seven days were a preparing of their hearts to serve the Lord and they were released in service on the eighth day.
In the Hebrew, the number “seven” means Completion, Spiritual Perfection.
It is the letter, “zayin” which is a weapon in Hebrew. The Sword of the Spirit
is not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds and
every high thing that exalts itself against knowing God.
According to Jewish tradition, the number seven represents the physical world.
When God created the world, it took seven days.
Eight signifies the spiritual world. Eight is beyond seven, beyond the physical world. Eight represents eternity. In fact, if you turn the number eight on its side, you get the sign for infinity!
As heaven and earth are separated so it took the ministry of Jesus Christ, the Finished Work of the cross to usher in the new beginning. He was the perfect, sinless
lamb that took away the sin of the world as the pure spotless sacrifice unto God.
In Hebrew, “eight” means “new beginning” and is written as the letter “chet“,
a fence in Hebrew. It can also signify an inner room, even the heart itself.
Ezekiel 36:26 prophesied to this saying,
“And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”
On the eighth day, God manifested His presence to the people.
(Leviticus 9:1, 4, 24)
Jesus was raised from the dead on the eighth day fulfilling the law of the wave-sheaf offering as first fruits of the resurrection unto the Lord. (Leviticus 23:10, 11)
Again, Pentecost was seven weeks later on the fiftieth day, which was also the
eighth day (Leviticus 23:15-17). Jesus prophesied on the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles in John 7:37-39 about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
All of which fulfill the law of the presentation of the firstborn on the eighth day.
(Exodus 22:29, 30)
For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity–the man Christ Jesus.
(1 Timothy 2:5)
Jesus is the Beginning and the End. He is the restorer and repairer of the breach between God and man.
As eight is beyond seven, God has something more for man than a mere physical existence. Jesus came that we might have life—and have it to the full!
Eight represents eternity. In fact, if you turn the number eight on its side, you get the sign for infinity!
And they will never die again. In this respect they will be like angels. They are children of God and children of the resurrection. (Luke 20:36)
