You alone created my inner being.
You knitted me together inside my mother.
I will give thanks to You because I have been so amazingly and miraculously made.
Your works are miraculous, and my soul is fully aware of this
Many of us struggle with PERFECTIONism.
It carries through in our daily lives. This PURSUIT shifts us out of a life of joy and into a stressful churning of the soul as we try to supercede our humanity in order to silence the shout of insecurity. This drive affects us on a spiritual level—it is the belief that we must live up to our own expectations in order to be good enough for God to use our lives to maximum potential.
God CREATED us; He knows our flaws and our subtle shades of beauty. Furthermore, “wonderfully MADE” does not include a clause that adds, “if you have a clean house, an influential career, a perfect body, and never lose your temper.”
Let’s return to the Lord.
Even though He has torn us to pieces, He will heal us.
Even though He has wounded us, He will bandage our wounds.
After two days He will revive us.
On the third day He will raise us
SO that we may live in His presence.
Let’s learn about the Lord.
Let’s get to know the Lord.
He will come to us as sure as the morning comes.
He will come to us like the autumn rains and the spring rains
that water the ground. (Hosea 6:1-3)
What if we believe that our core value is wonderful, that we are unique from birth and have a special place that no one else can fill?
Many Christians give lip service to this belief while living in a pattern of trying to prove their worthiness of being adored by God.
Will you spend today mapping out how to be a “perfect” Christian—or will you blindly decide to trust that maybe you are enough “as is?”
We plan the way we want to live,
but only God makes us able to live it.
Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.
LORD, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps.
The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him!
Jesus prayed before He went to the cross which was the Father’s purpose in sending Him. Jesus rose from the grave on the third day. He is alive right now praying for you–
I’m praying not only for them
But also for those who will believe in Me
Because of them and their witness about Me.
The goal is for all of them to become one heart and mind—
Just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You,
So they might be one heart and mind with Us.
Then the world might believe that You, in fact, sent Me.
The same glory You gave Me, I gave them,
So they’ll be as unified and together as We are—
I in them and You in Me.
Then they’ll be mature in this Oneness,
And give the godless world evidence
That you’ve sent Me and loved them
In the same way You’ve loved Me.
While I still pursue excellence, I know that God loves me more than all of my accomplishments; thus, my only responsibility is to CONNECT with Him regularly in order to live the life for which I am fearfully and wonderfully MADE.
“I am the Real Vine and my Father is the Farmer. He cuts off every branch of Me that doesn’t bear grapes. And every branch that is grape-bearing He prunes back so it will bear even more. You are already pruned back by the message I have spoken.
“Live in Me. Make your home in Me just as I do in you. In the same way that a branch can’t bear grapes by itself but only by being joined to the vine, you can’t bear fruit unless you are joined with Me.
“I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with Me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from Me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with Me and My words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who He is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as My disciples.
“I’ve loved you the way my Father has loved Me. Make yourselves at home in My love. If you keep My commands, you’ll remain intimately at home in My love. That’s what I’ve done—kept My Father’s commands and made myself at home in His love.
“I’ve told you these things for a purpose: that My joy might be your joy, and your joy wholly mature. This is My command: Love one another the way I loved you. This is the very best way to love. Put your life on the line for your friends. You are My friends when you do the things I command you. I’m no longer calling you servants because servants don’t understand what their master is thinking and planning. No, I’ve named you friends because I’ve let you in on everything I’ve heard from the Father.
“You didn’t choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to Me, He gives you.
“But remember the root command: Love one another.
Hated by the World
“If you find the godless world is hating you, remember it got its start hating Me. If you lived on the world’s terms, the world would love you as one of its own. But since I picked you to live on God’s terms and no longer on the world’s terms, the world is going to hate you.
“When that happens, remember this: Servants don’t get better treatment than their masters. If they beat on Me, they will certainly beat on you. If they did what I told them, they will do what you tell them.
“They are going to do all these things to you because of the way they treated Me, because they don’t know the One who sent Me. If I hadn’t come and told them all this in plain language, it wouldn’t be so bad. As it is, they have no excuse. Hate Me, hate my Father—it’s all the same. If I hadn’t done what I have done among them, works no one has ever done, they wouldn’t be to blame. But they saw the God-signs and hated anyway, both Me and My Father. Interesting—they have verified the truth of their own Scriptures where it is written, ‘They hated Me for no good reason.’
“When the Friend I plan to send you from the Father comes—the Spirit of Truth issuing from the Father—He will confirm everything about Me. You, too, from your side must give your confirming evidence, since you are in this with Me from the start.”
Dear God, Please help me to relinquish my own expectation of what I should be. Heal my need to prove my worth by my success. Help me to listen to the whispers of the wonderful things You have created in me, SO that I can serve You joyfully. Amen.

Write this to Philadelphia, to the Angel of the church. The Holy, the True—David’s key in his hand, opening doors no one can lock, locking doors no one can open—speaks:
“I see what you’ve done. Now see what I’ve done. I’ve opened a door before you that no one can slam shut. You don’t have much strength, I know that; you used what you had to keep my Word. You didn’t deny me when times were rough.
“And watch as I take those who call themselves true believers but are nothing of the kind, pretenders whose true membership is in the club of Satan—watch as I strip off their pretensions and they’re forced to acknowledge it’s you that I’ve loved.
“Because you kept my Word in passionate patience, I’ll keep you safe in the time of testing that will be here soon, and all over the earth, every man, woman, and child put to the test.
“I’m on my way; I’ll be there soon. Keep a tight grip on what you have so no one distracts you and steals your crown.
“I’ll make each conqueror a pillar in the sanctuary of my God, a permanent position of honor. Then I’ll write names on you, the pillars: the Name of my God, the Name of God’s City—the new Jerusalem coming down out of Heaven—and my new Name.
“Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches.”
But one thing is needful; and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
