How many realize that the word, “alphabet” is originally two words joined together from the Hebrew language?
Alpha is Greek for aleph (One, the unity of brethren).
The aleph signifies the strength of the “Number One“, or being first. The number one in all languages is the symbol of unity. There can only be one #1.
The FIRST Commandment is,
“Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.”
This expresses the UNITY of GOD and the fact that this ONE GOD is the CREATOR of all.
It speaks to the the Unity of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, the 3 in 1 that is such a conundrum to man! In the Hebrew language, there are two
words for the number “one.” Yacheed means an absolute unity, or an only one (Genesis 22:2); echad is a compound unity. (Genesis 2:24, Deuteronomy 6:4)
How wonderful, how beautiful, when brothers and sisters get along!
It’s like costly anointing oil flowing down head and beard,
Flowing down Aaron’s beard, flowing down the collar of his priestly robes.
It’s like the dew on Mount Hermon flowing down the slopes of Zion.
Yes, that’s where God commands the blessing, ordains eternal life.
You can no more divide an individual snowflake although each is unique from an avalanche than you can divide one grape from another in a vintage wine. Likewise,
you can’t divide or separate one olive from another when crushed into oil.
THEY ARE A NEW CREATION JOINED TOGETHER AS ONE IN ONE.
The letter, Bet, or Beth, can mean either “Division” of “Double Witness.”
Beth is a house or household in Hebrew. God ESTABLISHED the household with
a male and a female, Adam and Eve, two people in a marriage. This provided direction, a DOUBLE WITNESS IN THE FAMILY TO KNOW THE WILL OF GOD.
In mathematics, it takes two points to make a line and establish direction; likewise the purpose of marriage and family.
The number two AS STATED ABOVE can be either “division” or “double witness.”
Remember the Word in Amos 3:3, where it is established, “how can two walk together unless they AGREE?” Direction determines destination. If you are walking in agreement with God, it is everlasting life. But to those who walk contrary to the will of God, the wages of sin is death. Sin is pride that thinks one’s ways and thoughts are more suitable than God’s purpose.
God established two covenants in the Bible, first as a double witness of Truth,
but also to establish Direction.
Going on from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant shows a progression of revelation from the lesser to the greater. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts. (Haggai 2:9) and But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18)
God repeats this same principle throughout the Bible for He is the Lord who changes not. He cannot lie, He cannot deny Himself. What God says, “is” by virtue of His character, accountability and immutability. Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever, He is the Lord who changes not.
God uses conflict to contrast division or double witness. Those that have the witness in agreement with the Word of God bear fruit that remains in accordance with God’s command, “to be fruitful and multiply.” Those that sow to the flesh, reap the wages of sin which is death.
Rise and Shine, and Give God the Glory DUE His Name!
The Lord inhabits (dwells, resides) in the PRAISES of His people!
When You ascended on high, You took many captives; You received gifts from people, even from the rebellious– that You, LORD God, might dwell there. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
Psalm 68:18, Colossians 2:15
“Awake, my harp, at the due time: I will not wait for thee now, I have the strongest cause for gratitude; I will awake earlier than usual to sing the praises of my God.”
Jesus restored the communion (connection) between God and man broken by sin.
He lives forever, the eternal flame of God’s unfailing love and enduring truth! Ever living to intercede for us.
The eyes of the LORD go to & fro throughout the whole earth looking for hearts that are wholly His —who know that apart from Him they can do nothing –those who know that with God all things are possible to him who believes. This is the VICTORY that overcomes the world — even our faith.
“I will show him how much he must suffer for My name.“
Jesus said in John 16:33,
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.“
This faith works because of God’s so great love for us. We love because He first loved us for human love is nowhere close to the unfailing fervent love of Almighty God. Human love wavers and grows weak in the midst of circumstances looking for an escape. But no so with God—His love never fails! It burns ever brighter for the time He reveals that love is us until the full coming of day!
God is removing all the “dross” that corrupts (tarnishes) the beautiful reflection of His love in us in the fiery furnace of affliction. It serves a dual purpose, refining us of all that holds us back from knowing Him as Lord and creating in us a new pure and blameless heart to fully love Him as Lord.
“Buy your gold from Me. It has been refined in a fire, and it will make you rich. Buy white clothes from Me. Wear them and you can cover up your shameful nakedness. Buy medicine for your eyes, so that you will be able to see.
I correct and punish everyone I love. So make up your minds to turn away from your sins. Listen! I am standing and knocking at your door. If you hear My voice and open the door, I will come in and we will eat together. Everyone who wins the victory will sit with Me on my throne, just as I won the victory and sat with My Father on His throne.
If you have ears, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.
Rise, shine and give God the glory due His name!
God does not promise we will never go through difficult times or face intense temptation but He does promise always to be with us and never to forsake us.
He has already given us exceedingly great and precious promises by which we escape the corruption that is in the world by lust…His unfailing love is the key to
freedom for His perfect love drives out all fear. Nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Isaiah 53:2-4, But now, God’s Message,
the God who made you in the first place, Jacob,
the One who got you started, Israel:
“Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called your name. You’re Mine.
When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you.
When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down.
When you’re between a rock and a hard place,
it won’t be a dead end—
Because I am God, your personal God,
The Holy of Israel, your Savior.
I paid a huge price for you: all of Egypt, with rich Cush and Seba thrown in!
That’s how much you mean to me!
That’s how much I love you! I’d sell off the whole world to get you back,
trade the creation just for you.
With a love like that, that holds nothing back, how can we refuse?
Unbelievers go their own way, wandering aimlessly further from the truth and love of God.
Believers turn and face the Lord, the only One who not only can help but is the Provision, the Solution!
But the way of the wicked is like total darkness. They have no idea what they are stumbling over. (Proverbs 4:19) All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. (John 3:20)
Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. (John 3:21)
The godly bask in the light; the morally upright experience joy. (Psalm 97:11)
Why are you cast down my soul, hope in the LORD!
which means, “God with us.” (Matthew 1:22-23)
The Word became flesh and made His DWELLING among us (John 1:14)
” And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle (DWELLING)
He walks with me and He talks with me and He tells me I am His own…
The LORD knows those who are His. (2 Timothy 2:19)
I am my Beloved’s and He is mine. (SoS 6:3)
Where are you going? Do you know what awaits you at the end of life’s journey? For success is a journey not a destination.
Study the Servant-King Jesus for a servant is not above his master.
Remember in John 15:20 Jesus already told us, “Do you remember what I told you? ‘A slave is not greater than the master.’ Since they persecuted Me, naturally they will persecute you. And if they had listened to Me, they would listen to you.”
To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in His steps.
But remember also, that we are children of the Resurrection as we believe.
“Very truly I tell you, whoever obeys My word will never see death.“
The Lord works out everything to its proper end—
even the wicked for a day of disaster.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)
But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul. (Hebrews 10:39) And, “But My righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.” (Hebrews 10:38)
Believers FACE ADVERSITY
Jesus set his face as flint…
for the joy set before Him He endured..
It takes both faith and patience to inherit the kingdom of God
He who endures to the end shall be saved.
“War broke out in Heaven. Michael and his Angels fought the Dragon. The Dragon and his Angels fought back, but were no match for Michael. They were cleared out of Heaven, not a sign of them left. The great Dragon—ancient Serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, the one who led the whole earth astray—thrown out, and all his Angels thrown out with him, thrown down to earth. Then I heard a strong voice out of Heaven saying,
Salvation and power are established! Kingdom of our God, authority of His Messiah!
The Accuser of our brothers and sisters thrown out,
who accused them day and night before God.
They defeated him through the blood of the Lamb
and the bold word of their witness.
They weren’t in love with themselves;
they were willing to die for Christ.
So rejoice, O Heavens, and all who live there,
but doom to earth and sea,
For the Devil’s come down on you with both feet;
he’s had a great fall;
He’s wild and raging with anger;
he hasn’t much time and he knows it.
Sin and Death are swallowed up in life.
Believers face adversity, hardship, persecution and if your journey takes you to martyrdom, you pass through it with God with you every step of the way, always the whole way into Eternal Life. Be thou faithful unto death and I will give you the crown of Life—the Overcomers’ Crown!
DARE to be a David, Rise and Shine and Give God the Glory due His name!
God, my shepherd! I don’t need a thing.
You have bedded me down in lush meadows, You find me quiet pools to drink from.
True to Your word, You let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction.
Even when the way goes through Death Valley, I’m not afraid when You walk at my side.
Your trusty shepherd’s crook makes me feel secure.
You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies.
You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing.
Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life.
I’m back home in the house of God for the rest of my life.
May you receive power today because you have been a “witness unto Me, the Lord, in Jerusalem, and in Judea, and in Samaria and the uttermost parts of the earth” (Acts 1:8)
