When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.
“Do you feel like a lowly worm, Jacob?
Don’t be afraid.
Feel like a fragile insect, Israel?
I’ll help you.
I, God, want to reassure you.
The God who buys you back, The Holy of Israel.
I’m transforming you from worm to harrow,
from insect to iron.
As a sharp-toothed harrow you’ll smooth out the mountains,
turn those tough old hills into loamy soil.
You’ll open the rough ground to the weather,
to the blasts of sun and wind and rain.
But you’ll be confident and exuberant,
expansive in The Holy of Israel!
“The poor and homeless are desperate for water,
their tongues parched and no water to be found.
But I’m there to be found, I’m there for them,
and I, God of Israel, will not leave them thirsty.
I’ll open up rivers for them on the barren hills,
spout fountains in the valleys.
I’ll turn the baked-clay badlands into a cool pond,
the waterless waste into splashing creeks.
I’ll plant the red cedar in that treeless wasteland,
also acacia, myrtle, and olive.
I’ll place the cypress in the desert,
with plenty of oaks and pines.
Everyone will see this. No one can miss it—
unavoidable, indisputable evidence
That I, God, personally did this.
It’s created and signed by The Holy of Israel.
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
God is in control as Sovereign Lord of all. He gives us His Word and all of God’s Promises are “Yes and Amen” to His glory in Christ Jesus through us! He has provided the Holy Spirit to give us the courage and the strength to position ourselves in the place He appoints to usher in His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. He gives us not just a place but time to redeem as we watch and pray for opportunities to triumph in Christ over sin, death and the devil.
The pray-er petitions God the Father, who receives the prayer, sifts it out according to His will, then reaches down to change people and circumstances on earth. When God’s people through humble faith, simply trust and obey the Father, He is honored on earth as it is in heaven.
After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy spirit and spoke the Word of God boldly. Acts 4:31
Focus on Jesus, who is the Author and Finisher of Faith. For this is the Victory that overcomes the world–even our faith!
What is He telling you to do? Do it!
Then your light shall break forth like the morning. Your healing shall spring forth speedily. And your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Isaiah 58:8
Nothing is too much to go through with God’s enabling strength.
The joy of the Lord is your strength and in His presence is all fullness of joy! The prayers of just one righteous person are effective and mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds
and every high thing that the enemy attempts to erect against God. There’s nothing that can separate you from the unfailing love of God in Christ Jesus the Lord.
You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people both now and forevermore.
Deuteronomy 28:6 – Psalm 125:2
The LORD guards you as you come and go, now and forever.
The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.
We position ourselves in the palm of God’s hand and know that nothing can snatch us out of them. We are then free to really live and life is now an adventure that will not destroy us, but will only strengthen and propel us forward in the depths of God as we learn to trust and obey His Word. We enter in to the abundance of life and our feet are fixed in a broad, spacious place in Christ Jesus.
God’s plans are to prosper not destroy us. His discipline is tempered with His unfailing love which trains us up in His right way of living. It is Satan, the evil one, who is our enemy and seeks to destroy us with fear, doubt and unbelief. We conquer him by fixing our eyes of faith on the unfailing love of God which is poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. We know that all we go through is for our certain good as it grows us up through many tests and trials to be steadfast enduring faithful sons and daughters of the Living God. Satan’s purpose is to distract us, to break our focus off the Way, the Truth and the Life in order to disintegrate us in fear. God’s purpose is the opposite.
Jesus prayed and still prays that we be One in Him and each other as He and the Father are one. The Holy Spirit is given to lead and guide us every step of the Way into His Truth and Life home to the Father through Jesus the Son. Fix your eyes on Jesus and come boldly forward!
“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” –JESUS
