Listen closely to what God says in Isaiah 55:
“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters;
and you who have no money, come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to Me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare.
Give ear and come to Me; listen, that you may live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
My faithful love promised to David.
See, I have made him a witness to the peoples, a ruler and commander of the peoples.
Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for He has endowed you with splendor.”
Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the Lord, and He will have mercy on them, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is My word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
The Word of God is received in SEED form and it is nurtured, watered and increased by living in the presence of the Lord God. As a farmer does all that he can to protect his potential harvest, so the Lord God watches over His WORD to cause it to grow by watering it and giving it increase as we attend (heed) what He tells us to do.
Like the farmer, it is faith that knows the SEED is the blueprint for life and the the keeping of one’s faith is like the farmer’s fight against the things of this world that contrive to steal, kill and destroy the bountiful harvest that is coming. We have a real enemy who is the prince of the power of this world. Satan is a fallen angel who with his mutinous fellows was thrown out of heaven and there is no place there for him. He knows that time is running short until the day of the Lord Jesus so he tries to take your joy and your peace with every unwanted circumstance, every unexpected tragedy, and every unforeseen pitfall. He does not fight fair. In life you will seldom, if ever, see real justice but God is perfect and He will repay everyone according to what is done here on earth.
Those that come to God, must believe that He is, and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.
Has His unfailing love vanished forever? Has His promise failed for all time? Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
Psalm 77:8, Isaiah 30:18
Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation!
2 Peter 3:15
Matthew 16:27 For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father’s glory with His angels, and then He will reward each person according to what he has done.
Jesus promises us in Revelation 3:11,
“I am coming soon; hold fast what you have so that no one may seize your crown.”
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you?
Galatians 6:9, 1 Thessalonians 2:19
IT TAKES BOTH FAITH AND PATIENCE (ENDURING, STEADFASTLY STANDING RELIANT UPON, PERSEVERING IN) TO INHERIT THE PROMISES OF GOD!
Take God’s promises personally for they are for every believing child of God. Use them to wage war on every negative thought that enters the field of your heart. Take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God and use it to “weed-whack” every evil influence in your life for God will bring His Word to pass AS you AGREE with Him.
He has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For in just a very little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay.
2 Peter 1:4, Hebrews 10:37
You need to fix the focus of your faith on God’s unfailing love in Christ who is the LIVING WORD of Almighty God. For in Him all the promises of God are–Yes and Amen to the glory of God the Father
And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? Or do you show contempt for the riches of His kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you toward repentance?
Luke 18:7, Romans 2:4
The Lord isn’t slow to do what He promised, as some people think. Rather, He is patient for your sake. He doesn’t want to destroy anyone but wants all people to have an opportunity to turn to Him and change the way they think and act.
2 Peter 3:9
Americans have had a hot, dry summer this year. While the east coast has been receiving the much-needed rains to sustain the farmers’
seed in the ground, there are places where the cattle not just the
agriculture are languishing and in serious danger of loss. But God
says that in the midst of our dry and weary land, He will restore.
The times of refreshing come from the presence of the Lord. For it is in His presence that all fear, anxiety, stress and unbelief are GONE in the presence of His unfailing love. Nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.
Apart from Him, we can do nothing. Simple truth.
But all things are possible to him who believes.
I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.
The joy of the Lord is my strength for when I am weak, His strength is perfected in my weakness. The abundant, fruitful life is only to be found in intimate communion with the Vine.
Jesus is the Vine, the Father is the Gardener. We are His branches
and our fruit is found only in Him. Bring forth fruits for repentance. The fruit of the wise is a tree of life.
The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles?
Ecclesiastes 7:8, Matthew 7:16
Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)
Romans 8:5, Ephesians 5:9
But the spiritual nature produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There are no laws against things like that.
Joy and peace come from believing.
“I foretold the former things long ago, My mouth announced them and I made them known; then suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.”
You care for the land and water it; You enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for that is how You prepare the land.
Isaiah 48:3, Psalm 65:9
He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Not a single one of all the good promises the LORD had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true.
Psalm 121:4, Joshua 21:45
Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He’s the one who will keep you on track.
Don’t assume that you know it all.
Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own; give Him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over.
But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline; don’t sulk under His loving correction.
It’s the child He loves that God corrects; a father’s delight is behind all this.
You will got out in joy and be led forth in peace:
the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest field.
The enemy only wants us to think that the harvest time is passed.
Like Lazarus, remember God sent Jesus to raise him from the dead.
The Word is alive and bringing forth its fruit in the earth today as it is in heaven AS WE AGREE and GO FORTH WITH GOD.
We walk by faith and not by sight for believing is not seeing and appearances are misleading meant to deceive and lead us astray from the Way, the Truth and the Life found only in God’s Word, His Promise of Eternal Life in Christ Jesus who is the LIVING WORD of God.
Rise up for His light has come and His glory rises inside of you as you obey His Word to you. Get up and be like the farmer who does not lull around in a comfy bed when there is a harvest to be brought in. Get up and be about your Father’s business which is restoring men to walk with Him in newness of an abundant, rich life. Multitudes are waiting, like a crop ripe in the field, to be brought into His Kingdom.
Instead of the thorn bush will grow the juniper, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow.
This will be for the Lord’s renown, for an everlasting sign,
that will endure forever.
Praise the Lord for His mercy endures forever!
Praise the Lord for His love endures forever to a thousand generations that love and obey Him.
To the lost and wayward souls, those who QUESTION GOD and wonder where He is, consider the final words of
a well-known poem (Footprints):
The LORD replied:
“My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you.”
(Footprints written by Carolyn Joyce Carty)
I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith
Job 19:25, 2 Timothy 4:7
