“My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken Me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.” (Jeremiah 2:13)
The desert wilderness is the place where the land is dry and weary from lack of water. Yet it is there that God reveals Himself as the Wellspring of life, the Rock of salvation being Christ Jesus.
Send forth Your light and Your truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to Your holy mountain, to the place where You dwell.
My son, let not your eyes depart from keeping my teaching and my counsels–they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck–
for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace.
(Proverbs 3:21-22) They are not just idle words for you–they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess. (Deuteronomy 32:47)
The wise in heart are called discerning, and pleasant words promote instruction. Understanding is a fountain of life to the one who has it, but stubborn fools punish themselves with their stupidity. A wise man’s heart guides his mouth, and his lips promote instruction.
It takes both faith and patience (persevering, enduring, steadfast, standing firm in) to inherit God’s promises in Christ Jesus who is the Living Word of Almighty God the Father who is Faithful and True to the very end.
This faith works by the unfailing love of God that is poured down from the throne of God in abundance in our hearts by His Holy Spirit and operates as it flows through us to one another in His perfect love which removes all fear.
Do not be overwhelmed by circumstances that seem to reverse your situation for only God can open or close any door in life. See each circumstances as temporal in the light of His eternal perspective.
His love never fails.
God is the Source of all living; it is in Him that we live, move and have our being. Be not swayed by changing circumstances for nothing can succeed against the Lord. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them. (Romans 8:28)
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
(1 Corinthians 15:57-58)
Upheavals are produced in circumstances by obedience even as Jesus submitted to the Father in perfection of love.
When you stop doing your own thing and turn back to God, He still turns tables as we become His Household of prayer for the nations.
It’s time to stop smoking the proverbial “peace pipe” in the den of our own selfish will which is actually a den of thieves for Satan is the prince of this world and he will mislead you astray from the beautiful simplicity of living right with God. Apart from God you can do nothing. But all things are possible to him that believes.
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. (Isaiah 43:2)
Be not conformed to this world for all that is of the flesh and the pride of man’s living for self is going to be swept away and all that remains is he who does the will of the Father in heaven. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind in Christ Jesus so that you can manifest, display, WITNESS, testify to His amazing grace that not only saves and delivers you from sin and death but changes you from glory to glory as you grow more and more intimate in relation to Him.
When His super is joined with your natural, our faith grows in proportion to the measure we can bear. Our walk and talk must keep in step with His Spirit in all circumstances for then we are enabled to cross over as if on dry land as did the children of Israel with Moses at the Red Sea. It’s time to remove every stumbling block and any hindrance that stands in the way of our knowing Jesus as Lord as well as Savior.
As they make music they will sing, “All my fountains are in You.”
