You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways
I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in Your Word.
How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to Your Word. Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?
Psalm 119:147, Psalm 119:9, Amos 3:3
God watches over His Word to perform it…
Not my will but Your will Father be accomplished in my life!
On earth as it is in heaven.
Arise, Shine! For your light has come…
The light shines in the darkness and it is not extinguished.
Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Let your light so shine before all that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
In the Valley of Achor…
instead of the stones that buried Achan (the troubler) there is a DOOR of hope and opportunity named Jesus. Instead of disgrace and dishonor, the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the same Holy Spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead and
this is our work –our reasonable service – to obey Him and to love is to obey. We love because He first loved us. We forgive
as He forgave us. We reach out to others as He reached out to us. Our lives become hymns of praise as we let the light of His life shine brightly through us so that others may come to know Him as Lord and Savior. As the Father gives grace and glory
we honor Him by allowing His purpose to be fulfilled in us. Jesus is the Author and the Finisher of our faith. We needed Him to
be born again, we need Him to go and grow and we need Him at the finish line to carry us through to Victory’s side.
Faith Directs Our Lives
Since we are surrounded by so many examples of faith, we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially sin that distracts us. We must run the race that lies ahead of us and never give up. We must focus on Jesus, the source and goal of our faith. He saw the joy ahead of him, so he endured death on the cross and ignored the disgrace it brought him. Then he received the highest position in heaven, the one next to the throne of God. Think about Jesus, who endured opposition from sinners, so that you don’t become tired and give up.
Light is shed upon the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. The path of the righteous is level; O upright One, You make the way of the righteous smooth. The path of life leads upward for the wise to keep him from going down to the grave. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
Psalm 97:11, Isaiah 26:7, Proverbs 15:24, Daniel 12:3
Walk before Me
“I am the Almighty God; walk before Me, and be thou perfect.” (Genesis 17:1)
Because Lord Jehovah is God, our sustainer and our helper; Lord Jehovah will give love and honor and will not withhold His good things from those who walk in perfection. Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing.
Psalm 84:11, Psalm 34:9
God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. What is true humility but to know God and obey His commands. Jesus said that the greatest command is to love God and the second like it, to love one’s neighbor as one’s self.
I don’t want God to oppose me. I want to be humble. I want more of God’s grace. I want God to perfect His love in me.
If you do too, maybe you’d like to pray this prayer with me:
Father, I ask you to perfect Your love in me. Please reveal pride in my life and allow me to humble myself by the power of Your Holy Spirit. I want more of Your grace, more of Your favor. Help me to love better. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Jesus be the CENTER!
Not my will but Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. REIGN SUPREME in my life. I humbly bow before You with a contrite spirit and ask that You make something beautiful out of my life. Satan in the Name of Jesus I bind your haughty spirit according to Matthew 18:18; I recognize you for what you are–a thief and a liar. Jesus says that His House is to be a House of PRAYER for the NATIONS and I am His House so I command you to leave for I am not a den of thieves! I will have none of your lies in my house. I refuse to allow you to lead me away from God’s Will for my life.
Thank You Father for Your forgiveness and mercy in Christ Jesus and according to Matthew 18:18 I loose a HUMBLE SPIRIT, a Spirit of Holiness in my life to lead me in the path which You choose for me to walk. I recognize that Path because it is according to Your Word which is a lamp to my feet. Thank You Lord for hearing and answering my prayer Amen.
