God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.
Only Jesus is the Prince of Peace; not as the world’s wishy-washy watered down “philosophy” but the peace that surpasses all human understanding. Only standing in the presence of Almighty God in Christ Jesus can we weather the storms of life in this peace and remain at rest. Jesus was unafraid and in Him we have perfect peace because of His perfect love that casts out all fear. Jesus is in complete control for all authority is given Him. He is the Pioneer and the Perfecter of our faith and this is the Victory that overcomes the world–even our faith! Jesus sees the power inherent in every storm of life that comes against our faith but He remains at peace for He knows God is greater. Nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Have you come to the place where you realize that the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof? Have you learned to take off your shoes and stand firm in faith on the Holy Ground God has appointed for you in Jesus Christ? Our lives are in God’s hands. He sends us where He wills for His purpose in the earth today. Are you at rest in His peace?
The Fall of Jericho
Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?”
“Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord have for His servant?”
The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.
From the west, men will fear the name of the LORD, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere His glory. For He will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the LORD drives along.
If only you had paid attention to My commands, your peace would have been like a river, your righteousness like the waves of the sea. “‘Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal My people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.”
Isaiah 48:18, Jeremiah 33:6
Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Psalm 119:165, Isaiah 9:6
Jesus answered, “My kingdom doesn’t belong to this world. If my kingdom belonged to this world, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. My kingdom doesn’t have its origin on earth.”
Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? Nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,‘ because the kingdom of God is within you.” Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.
Matthew 26:53, Luke 17:21, John 6:15
“I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”
Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone that comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through Him that gives complete healing and deliverance from the curse of sin and death,
as you can all see.
It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this we can stand healed and delivered from the bondage of the dominion of darkness.
For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.
…sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
2 Corinthians 6:10
There were two thieves on either side of Jesus. Both were receiving the wages of their life of sin. One died in his sins: CONDEMNED;
the other passed from death to life, FORGIVEN in Christ Jesus who REDEEMS from the curse of sin and death.
Life Through the Spirit
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
More Than Conquerors
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died —more than that, who was raised to life —is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Follow Christ’s Example in Humility and Authority
Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death —
even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
All your sons will be taught by the LORD, and great will be your children’s peace. Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the arm. Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come. And you will be called priests of the LORD, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast.
Isaiah 54:13 – Isaiah 60:4 – Isaiah 60:5 – Isaiah 61:6
Riches and honor are with me; Yea, durable wealth and righteousness.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.
Proverbs 8:18, Matthew 6:33, Psalm 112:3
