Blessed are the PURE in heart for they shall SEE God. Pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 5:8, 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments, and His paths beyond tracing out! Which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets. The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent.
Romans 11:33, Ephesians 3:5, 1 Timothy 4:1, 2 Corinthians 11:3
But you are not like that, for the Holy One has given you his Spirit, and all of you know the truth. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the LORD. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever.
1 Corinthians 2:10, Jeremiah 31:34, Psalm 111:10
In Matthew 13:11, Jesus says, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.”
God’s truth is simple enough for a child who is pure and innocent to see and walk in. It takes the twisted thinking of a person who has walked in the world’s polluted garbage to miss the simple beauty of God’s holiness through complicated mindgames and wordplays. God is light and in Him is no darkness. The dark is as light in His presence for there is nothing hidden that He will not reveal by the Spirit of His Truth. His Word cuts like a sword piercing the darkness. God cannot lie. He is Faithful and True from Beginning to End and desires us to walk with Him in spirit and in truth.
Without a vision, the people perish. For this purpose was Jesus who is the Word of God, manifest (made evident)–to destroy the work of the devil. He is the light of life and the light shines in the darkness and it is never extinguished. We need God’s perspective in order to see. When you know Jesus, you have seen the Father’s heart which desires us to long for His children to return to Him in simple obedient loving trust as the child who runs into his papa’s arms after a long day apart, exclaiming “Daddy’s home! Daddy’s home!”
As God’s people, we should be praying for His perspective or vision for others that they might see Him through our prayers, words and deeds. That nothing we do is for our own vainglory (benefit) but that it might bring glory, honor and praise to our Father in heaven–on earth as it is in heaven!
God has placed us in His kingdom for such a time as this to bring light into the darkness so that others might see the Way and walk with Him into all truth and life. We are our “brothers’ keepers” even as a lighthouse keeper directs the light to shine the way to a safe haven in the storm.
Do not take the darkness and blow it out of proportion but learn to see it as a need to ask the Father to enlighten. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. We are filled to dispense His righteousness in crying out for those who do not yet see to come to know Him. This is our purpose for being to show others He is the Way, the Truth and the Life; letting our lights so shine that they see our good deeds and glorify our Father in heaven! We live to worship Him in humility because this honors Him as Lord. We pray and serve Him by helping them come to see and know Him as Lord.
But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
. . . add to your faith virtue . . .
2 Peter 1:5
Add means that we have to do something. We are in danger of forgetting that we cannot do what God does, and that God will not do what we can do. We cannot save nor sanctify ourselves— God does that. But God will not give us good habits or character, and He will not force us to walk correctly before Him. We have to do all that ourselves. We must “work out” our “own salvation” which God has worked in us (Philippians 2:12). Add means that we must get into the habit of doing things, and in the initial stages that is difficult. To take the initiative is to make a beginning— to instruct yourself in the way you must go. (Oswald Chambers, “My Utmost For His Highest“)
You know the way to the place where I am going. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
John 14:14, John 14:3
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. And when He is lifted up He will draw all men unto Him and no man has seen the Father except the Son (Jesus) and to whom He reveals (by His Holy Spirit) the Father.
“I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on Your laws” (Psalm 119:30).
“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it’”
“This is what the LORD says —
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
‘I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go‘”
To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you,
leaving you an example, that you should follow in His steps
(1 Peter 2:21).
Lord, I want to love the simple things of Life. I pray that I may keep my life uncomplicated and free in You for You are the Way, the Truth and the Life and no man comes to the Father except by You.
You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of Your presence and the pleasures of living with You forever as I keep on keeping on. Help me to encourage others to fear not and only believe for it really is that simple. Let my life bear witness
to Your love that never fails for Your love is truth and every one of Your judgments is righteous.
For the LORD is righteous, he loves justice; upright men will see his face.
King David was the man whose heart God declared was upright.
David in Psalm 17:15 declares, “Because I am righteous, I will see You. When I awake, I will see You face to face and be satisfied.”
How can a man that committed adultery and masterminded the death
of that man’s wife in an attempt to cover up the conception of
their illegitimate union be so commended by the Creator?
We have to get into the habit of carefully listening to God about everything, forming the habit of finding out what He says and heeding it. (Oswald Chambers, “My Utmost For His Highest”)
David never tried to shift the blame for his sins. His lifelong practice was turning to God in all things, seeking His Way, His Truth and His Life to walk in the light of His love. He simply
confessed his sin before God for what he had done to others
was done as unto God. And David repented -turning away from
his sin – and kept on going on with God as Lord of his life.
He didn’t let the past bury him alive and he allowed the Lord
to wash his sins away in the sea of God’s forgiving mercy.
God is able to use mightily such a one who is willing to let
go and simply trust and obey Him. To the one that simply follows
His Word, that one finds wholeness in all his thoughts and ways
as he singly devoted all to His Maker.
To the pure You show yourself pure, but to the wicked You show Yourself hostile.
In Exodus 28:36 the forehead of the high priest was to be covered with a specific golden plate — “Make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it as on a seal: HOLY TO THE LORD.”
But which of them has stood in the council of the LORD to see or to hear His word? Who has listened and heard His word? Who has known the mind of the Lord so that he can teach him? However, we have the mind of Christ. In John 15:15, Jesus says, “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”
Jeremiah 23:18, 1 Corinthians 2:16
HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD – the high priest and Jesus, who is our great high priest – for we have the mind of Christ.
Father thank You for placing me where You will so that Your name be lifted up to draw men to You that they too might know the Truth that sets men free to worship You in newness of life. Help me to properly esteem them as Yours and to use the gifts You have enabled me with for Your glory and honor in showing them the Way home to You in love. Fill me to overflowing with Your compassion for the lost and wayward. Help me to view each person as an opportunity to see You in my life. Keep me keeping on walking as one in Your Word to advance Your kingdom on earth as it is in heaven in Jesus’ name. Amen.
But as Scripture says: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him.” God has revealed those things to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches everything, especially the deep things of God. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit–just as it has taught you, remain in Him.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10, 1 John 2:27
Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.
1 John 3:2, Revelation 22:4
