For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.
Psalm 84:11, Isaiah 60:19
Who among you fears the LORD and obeys the word of His servant? Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God.
My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness. Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street.
Isaiah 50:10, Isaiah 26:9, Lamentations 2:19
Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face, O God of Jacob. Selah This is the gate of the LORD through which the righteous may enter.
Psalm 24:7; 6, Psalm 118:20
Again I looked and saw all the oppression that was taking place under the sun: I saw the tears of the oppressed–and they have no comforter; power was on the side of their oppressors–and they have no comforter. They do not cry out to Me from their hearts but wail upon their beds. They gather together for grain and new wine but turn away from Me. Yet they say to God, ‘Leave us alone! We have no desire to know Your way.’
Ecclesiastes 4:1, Hosea 7:14, Job 21:14
Till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny. I have seen You in the sanctuary and beheld Your power and Your glory.
Psalm 73:17, Psalm 63:2
For man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. The godless in heart harbor resentment; even when He fetters them, they do not cry for help. In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Selah
James 1:20, Job 36:13, Psalm 4:4
Yet they don’t ask, ‘Where is God my Creator, the One who gives songs in the night?‘ He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy. In the night I remember your name, O LORD, and I will keep your law. On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night.
Job 35:10, Job 8:21, Psalm 119:55, Psalm 63:6
And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD is on His heavenly throne. He observes the sons of men; His eyes examine them.
Luke 18:7, Psalm 11:4
Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. By day the LORD directs His love, at night His song is with me–a prayer to the God of my life. Let us strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back and let us run with patience the particular race that God has set before us!
Psalm 16:7, Psalm 42:8, Hebrews 12:1
But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. At midnight I rise to give you thanks for your righteous laws. To proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night.
Luke 6:12, Acts 16:25, Psalm 119:62, Psalm 92:2
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek Him in His temple. Better is one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
Psalm 27:4, Psalm 84:10
To His believers, Jesus has given the keys to the door of faith: prayer and praise are the keys unlock the door into the heart of God. Jesus is the Door (Daleth in Hebrew) that opens to the very heart of God. (John 3:16, John 14:6, John 1:14)
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
2 Peter 1:3, John 17:3
Jesus has sent us His Holy Spirit who daily loads us with the benefits of the 7 gifts of His Holy Spirit’s RESURRECTION
power in His Love which never fails. His will and purpose for creating us is my resolve: that I might know Him and the power of His Resurrection (that so great Love of the Father that holds nothing back that we need to restore us back to His House) that is the same powerfully faithful love that lifted Christ from the grave and is also lifting me up from among the dead even while I’m in the body!!!
He is perfecting all believers in Christ Jesus who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. He is the beginning and the end and with us all the way, leading and guiding us into all truth by His Holy Spirit fulfilling all that He has promised concerning us.
All creation is waiting for His seed to mature, grow up and take their place knowing that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. For what God has joined together let not man tear asunder. For there is nothing impossible with God!
So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:10-11
All that God gives is for His glory in His creation. The light, His grace and glory that is revealed by His Holy Spirit in those who love and obey His commands is for the inspiration, encouragement and guidance of those who have not yet stepped out in faith.
Without vision, people perish and God warns us in His Word that His people are being destroyed for lack of knowledge. God gives us His vision so that we learn to trust Him as Provider of the provision.
God is for us, not against us when we turn to Him as our source.
Whom God trusts, He appoints in places of darkness to be light bearers to guard and protect the souls of those He has entrusted to our sphere of influence.
Three things will last forever–faith, hope, and love–and the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13
“Praise be to You, O Lord, God of our father Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting.
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is Yours.
Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom,
You are exalted as head over all.
Wealth and honor come from You;
You are the ruler of all things.
In Your hands are strength and power
to exalt and give strength to all.
Now, our God, we give You thanks, and praise Your glorious name.”
