The act of pivoting to face in the opposite direction from the original, especially in a military formation.
A military command to turn clockwise 180°.
A total change of attitude or viewpoint.
To reverse direction. (A U-turn).
When things blow up in your face, it’s not time to run away, give up or cash in your chips, but it’s time to change perspective.
Face fear, Face injustice, Face your Commanding Officer!
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)
“Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
True peace, true courage and true love comes from God.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
For You are God, O Sovereign LORD. Your words are truth, and You have promised these good things to Your servant.
1 Timothy 1:17, 2 Samuel 7:28
When we turn and face Truth; fear is behind us and Psalm 23 tells
us that “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” God
is your Rear Guard.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and He is an every present help in time of need. He has given us a help in the presence of His Holy Spirit as our Wing Man.
We know that of ourselves we are not sufficient but our sufficiency is of God. We know that apart from Him we can do nothing but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Nothing is impossible to him who believes. We confess our need is great and He supplies our need according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. When we admit ultimate truths and pray for help we fight the good FIGHT of faith. Pray for truth to rule your life in the name of Jesus Christ. His Word of Truth like a SWORD cuts through the darkness like a flash of lightning cutting swathes through a world of lies.
When you finally come to know God as Sovereign, you are at the place where you relinquish all your claims and proclaim His truth. We turn to Him and say, “I need You Lord” and He is there with us all the way. God helps those who ask. God is with those who seek Him. God is near to those who are willing to let go of their agendas and desire His will.
When you feel out of control that is a good place to be for then you can realize that it’s not about you but all about Him. The truth is that we have so little control over anything.
We know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
God is allowing you to come to the end of yourself and return to His presence. In His presence all fear is gone and there is fullness of joy in resting in His peace.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
Father in every situation let me know the peace that comes from having the mind of Christ trusting in Your perfect will and letting go of my imperfect knowledge.
“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray then I will hear from heaven and heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer! There are times you FEEL forsaken but the TRUTH says that God is an ever present help and that the times of refreshing come from the Presence of the Lord. He has given to every one who is humble and who recognizes that God has made everything in the world the power to pray.
“Thus says the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool – but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit and trembles at My word”
Isaiah 66: 1-2
So we have the promise that God will respond if we come to Him in true humility.
Prayer honors God as sovereign and moves Him to action and it stirs our hearts with compassion for the world to be redeemed by Christ as we are moved to pray.
An Army Of One
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds …we are one in the Spirit and we are one in the Lord.
A little one shall become a thousand and a little child shall lead them. What you have done to the least of these (my brothers and sisters) you have done it as unto Me.
Arise, shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen inside of you. The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord and He has lit the light of His life within you to cause you to take every dark situation to the foot of the cross of Christ,
trusting fully that the great love of the power of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ will work to bring wholeness.
Pray in faith, in accordance with God’s will: “Thy will be done.” This means reading the Bible to find out God’s will and purpose, and not praying for things we are told we cannot have. God often answers prayer by requiring us to wait, sometimes for a long time. God always answers with His best.
If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who ‘worry their prayers’ are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.
Lord, I kneel in prayer to honor You, as Your servant, recognizing You are sovereign – please use me to touch the lost and hurting today. Father, I kneel in prayer to honor You, as Your child, recognizing You as my Father who knows best – please use me to love the lost and hurting today. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Meanwhile, the eleven disciples were on their way to Galilee, headed for the mountain Jesus had set for their reunion. The moment they saw him they worshiped him. Some, though, held back, not sure about worship, about risking themselves totally. (but some of them doubted!) Look into the face of truth and love and fear not only believe!
Then you shall see the glory of God!
Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: “God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.”
Fix these words of Mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
But grow in the grace and knowledge and become strongly acquainted with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory now and forever.
2 Peter 3:18
“Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him to HELP you do it and He will.”
