Jesus said “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” So Jesus is Truth and Jesus is also the Word.
John 14:6, John 1:1; 14
“You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”
When the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into the full truth. He won’t speak on his own. He will speak what he hears and will tell you about things to come.
For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1 Timothy 4:1, 1 Corinthians 2:14
Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. Jesus said “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:23, John 14:6
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.”
In Him you also, when you heard the Word of Truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of His glory.
The Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you. You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But they will have to give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
John 14:17, Romans 8:9, 1 Peter 4:5
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. For examples of patience in suffering, dear brothers and sisters, look at the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy.
Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains.
Matthew 5:12, James 5:10-11, James 5:7
The watchman opens the gate for Him, and the sheep listen to His voice. He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out. When He has brought out all His own, He goes on ahead of them, and His sheep follow Him because they know His voice.
I am the gate; whoever enters through Me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.
John 10:9; 16
O LORD, who shall sojourn in Your tent? Who shall dwell on Your holy hill? He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks Truth in his heart.
These are the things that you shall do: Speak the Truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace. Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the Ttruth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.
Psalm 15:1-2, Zechariah 8:16, Ephesians 4:25
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the Truth is not in us.
Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.”
Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
1 John 1:8, Mark 7:6, Mathew 15:9, 1 John 3:18
This Son of God is Jesus Christ, who came by water and blood. He didn’t come with water only, but with water and with blood. The Spirit is the one who verifies this, because the Spirit is the truth.
1 John 5:6
When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit–just as it has taught you, remain in him.
Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.
Send out Your light and Your Truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to Your dwelling!
Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in Your Truth; unite my heart to fear your name.
Psalm 25:5, Psalm 43:3, Psalm 86:11
We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
Those who obey His commands live in Him, and He in them. And this is how we know that He lives in us: We know it by the Spirit He gave us.
1 John 4:6, 1 John 3:24
We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
1 John 5:19, 1 John 4:4
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
John 1:14; 17
So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
Christ Jesus who died–more than that, who was raised to life–is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
Romans 8:26, Romans 8:34
God’s Word tells us we believers have two intercessors–Christ at the right hand of God and the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. The Holy Spirit takes our prayers when we don’t know what we should pray for as we ought and brings them to the Father, “according to the Will of God.”
“I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His Will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him. If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life.
1 John 5:13-16
“I tell you the Truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” These are the words of Him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open. If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven–if there was anything to forgive–I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake,
Matthew 18:18, Revelation 3:7, 2 Corinthians 2:10
“But in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe. To him who overcomes and does My Will to the end, I will give authority over the nations–You have granted him the desire of his heart and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear him. Rise up, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are Your inheritance. “But if any nation does not listen, I will completely uproot and destroy it,” declares the LORD. Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the whole earth as your possession.
Hebrews 1:2, Revelation 2:26, Psalm 21:2, Psalm 67:7, Psalm 82:8, Jeremiah 12:17, Psalm 2:8
Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
