For NOW is your SALVATION and the KINGDOM of Christ! The is the Victory that overcomes the world, even your faith! Look unto Jesus who is the Author (Originator) and Finisher (Perfecter, Completer) of your faith. But when He returns will He find you faithful to Him?
The dragon (Lucifer, Satan) is defeated by the Word and the Blood of the Lamb. Out of the mouth of two or three Witnesses is a Word
established, confirmed and comes to pass. We are Witnesses that
God sent His Word (Jesus the Christ) to destroy the works of the devil and reconcile fallen humanity back into relationship with Him.
Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death–that is, the devil–(Hebrews 2:14).And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (Revelation 12:11)
I have waited for Your salvation, O LORD. Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen.
Genesis 49:18, James 5:7
For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Matthew 16:27, Galatians 6:9
Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves.
DO WHAT IT SAYS!
Changes come, not when God speaks but when we obey what He has told us.
We are changed only when we apply to our lives what He has said.
Peter, James and John were with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration and saw his appearance changed right before their
eyes and beheld the glorious Son of Almighty God the Father yet
worship in spirit and in truth is worked out in the daily walking through the valley (the low places in life). The mountaintop
(high point) experiences are times of refreshing that come from the presence of the LORD but we are not created to sit on our laurels but to work out our salvation in fear and trembling. We are designed to reach out to the lost, weary and burdened souls of humanity and point them to the One who came to set them free from the curse of sin and death.
“Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
This is the ROYAL LAW of DIVINE LOVE. The love of Christ has been shed abroad in our hearts by His Holy Spirit and it lives as a continual ebb and flow. As we lift our eyes unto the hills from whence comes our help – our help comes from the LORD the Maker of heaven and earth, we have what we need to live each day to the fullest for Him.
Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father.
If you love Him you obey Him.
We have been richly blessed in order to bring others into the same status as sons and daughters of the Living God.
God is a Father and He desires a family.
The mountaintop is a foretaste of the abundance of your glorious inheritance as sons and daughters. This is the unlimited love that we are filled with in order to reach others. Jesus was touched and moved with compassion with humanity’s suffering and we are to walk as He.
Six days later, three of them saw that glory. Jesus took Peter and the brothers, James and John, and led them up a high mountain. His appearance changed from the inside out, right before their eyes. Sunlight poured from his face. His clothes were filled with light. Then they realized that Moses and Elijah were also there in deep conversation with him.
Peter broke in, “Master, this is a great moment! What would you think if I built three memorials here on the mountain—one for you, one for Moses, one for Elijah?”
While he was going on like this, babbling, a light-radiant cloud enveloped them, and sounding from deep in the cloud a voice: “This is my Son, marked by my love, focus of my delight. Listen to him.”
When the disciples heard it, they fell flat on their faces, scared to death. But Jesus came over and touched them. “Don’t be afraid.” When they opened their eyes and looked around all they saw was Jesus, only Jesus.
We have beheld his glory as the Only Begotten Son of God, the Firstborn of many brethren and it is to stir up our faith to work by that great fathomless love! Because nothing is impossible to him who believes and faith is activated by the outworking of His love to and through us. His love never fails.
We love because He first loved us; so how could you not firmly hold His hand in perfect relying trust? Even a little seed that is living can grow through any impediment (in essence move mountains) because of the powerful force of its life. Your real life is hid in Christ so you can confidently speak His Word and expect the mountains (obstacles, hindrances) and every resistance to move aside. This powerfully effective life is only found in living in vital union with Christ for he is the Vine and we are his branches and even as the root nourishes the Vine, the love of God is flowing from his Holy Spirit through him to us and outwards.
When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.
Just as Christ was transfigured on the mountaintop and Moses’ face shone with God’s glorious light; the religious leaders recognized that even the men who had been with Jesus were changed by walking with him. We are being changed from glory to glory as we keep our focus on Him walking in His will.
”He shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at in all them that believed”
2 Thessalonians 1:10
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day.
We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober.
1 Thessalonians 5:4-6
A Psalm of David.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs. In a very short time, will not Lebanon be turned into a fertile field and the fertile field seem like a forest? Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the LORD your God, for He has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.
Psalm 107:35, Isaiah 29:17, Joel 2:23
Never ever give up. Never betray My trust. Get over “it” and keep walking in My will.
Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass
1 Thessalonians 5:24
Be ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their Lord. Until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: which in its own times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords. Turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; and to wait for his Son from heaven.
Luke 12:36, 1 Timothy 6:14-15, 1Thessalonians 1:9-10
