God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7
A godly life, is one that is letting the powerful love of God’s Christ change them. Then God’s peace, which goes beyond anything we can imagine, will guard your thoughts and emotions through Christ Jesus.
Lord, I have heard of Your fame; I stand in awe of Your deeds,
O Lord. Renew them in our day, in our time make them known;
in wrath remember mercy. Have mercy O God according to Your unfailing love. Wash away all iniquity and cleanse from all sin. Father reveal Your heart; we need Your Holy Spirit to touch hearts and return wayward souls so that people will come to know You personally as loving Father. Help us to proclaim the glorious triumph of Your powerful love in the cross where Christ is the Victor over the judgment of sin and death. Amen.
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6, 8
May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
…and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Galatians 2:20, Ephesians 5:2
