Because I have sinned against Him, I will bear the LORD’s wrath, until He pleads my case and establishes my right. He will bring me out into the light; I will see His righteousness.
Your own actions have brought this upon you. This punishment is bitter, piercing you to the heart! You have brought this on yourself by abandoning the LORD your God when he led you on His way.
You are battered from head to foot–covered with bruises, welts, and infected wounds–without any soothing ointments or bandages.
Isn’t there medicine in Gilead? Aren’t there doctors there? Then why hasn’t the health of my dear people been restored?
Jeremiah 4:18, Jeremiah 2:17, Isaiah 1:6, Jeremiah 8:22
Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give His life for the ransom of many. He sent out His word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death. Since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death–that is, the devil–
Matthew 20:28, Psalm 107:20, Hebrews 2:14
Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”
The human mind is the most deceitful of all things. It is incurable. No one can understand how deceitful it is.
Why should any living man complain when punished for his sins?
Jeremiah 17:9, Lamentations 3:39
And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those He loves, and He punishes everyone He accepts as a son.”
He redeemed my soul from going down to the pit, and I will live to enjoy the light. Yes, God does these things again and again for people. To turn back his soul from the pit, that the light of life may shine on him. He helped them from the way of their sins and they were humbled by their evils.
Job 33:28-30, Psalm 107:17
Success of this sort depends upon the blessing of God.
“Return, faithless people; I will cure you of backsliding.” “Yes, we will come to you, for you are the LORD our God.
Practice carrying each other’s burdens. In this way you will fulfill the law of the Messiah.
Then your light will break through like the dawn, and you will heal quickly. Your righteousness will go ahead of you, and the glory of the LORD will guard you from behind.
But I will heal this city and restore it to health. I will heal its people, and I will give them peace and security.
The moon will shine like the sun, and the sunlight will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven full days, when the LORD binds up the bruises of his people and heals the wounds he inflicted.
Let’s return to the LORD. Even though He has torn us to pieces, He will heal us. Even though He has wounded us, He will bandage our wounds. After two days He will revive us. On the third day He will raise us so that we may live in His presence. Let’s learn about the LORD. Let’s get to know the LORD. He will come to us as sure as the morning comes. He will come to us like the autumn rains and the spring rains that water the ground. For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.
Hosea 6:1-3, Isaiah 61:11
Pray: “On Earth As It is In Heaven!“
“In that day I will respond,” declares the LORD–“I will respond to the skies, and they will respond to the earth.”
…the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
May He be like rain that falls on freshly cut grass, like showers that water the land. May the King’s rule be refreshing like spring rain on freshly cut grass, like the showers that water the earth. Let My teaching fall like rain and My words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of our God stands forever.
Psalm 72:6, Deuteronomy 32:21, Isaiah 40:8
“Rain and snow come down from the sky. They do not go back again until they water the earth. They make it sprout and grow so that it produces seed for farmers and food for people to eat. It is the same with My Word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.”
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away. God is not like people. He tells no lies. He is not like humans. He doesn’t change His mind. When He says something, He does it. When He makes a promise, He keeps it.
Joshua 1:8, Matthew 24:35, Numbers 23:19
Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit. Some of the traveling teachers recently returned and made me very happy by telling me about your faithfulness and that you are living according to the truth. I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are following the truth.
3 John 1:-2-4
Even as thy soul prospers:
“The soul is diseased with sin, and may be said to be in good health, when all its iniquities are forgiven; and may be said to prosper, when having a spiritual appetite for the Gospel, the sincere milk of the word, it feeds upon it, is nourished by it, and grows thereby; when it is in the lively exercise of faith, hope, and love; when spiritual knowledge is increased, or it grows in grace, and in the knowledge of Christ Jesus; when the inward man is renewed day by day with fresh strength; and when it enjoys communion with God, has the light of his countenance, and the joys of his salvation; and when it is fruitful in every good work”.
Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible
We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God-those whom He has called according to His plan. And having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And having called them, He gave them right standing with Himself. And having given them right standing, He gave them His glory. God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.
Romans 8:28; 30, Ephesians 1:5
God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.
Romans 11:29, 1 Corinthians 1:9
For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan.
Philippians 2:13, Ephesians 1:11
Don’t you know that wicked people won’t inherit the kingdom of God? Stop deceiving yourselves! People who continue to commit sexual sins, who worship false gods, those who commit adultery, homosexuals, thieves, greedy people, drunks, slanderers, and robbers will not inherit the kingdom of God. That’s what some of you were! But you have been washed and made holy, and you have received God’s approval in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
“FOR THE HEART OF THIS PEOPLE HAS BECOME DULL, WITH THEIR EARS THEY SCARCELY HEAR, AND THEY HAVE CLOSED THEIR EYES, OTHERWISE THEY WOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES, HEAR WITH THEIR EARS, AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART AND RETURN, AND I WOULD HEAL THEM.”
Consider the words of the prodigal son who returned:
“The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
And King David when he repented of his adultery with Bathsheba the wife of Uriah who he had sent to die so that he could marry her and cover up their illegitimate baby:
Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” Nathan replied, “The LORD has taken away your sin. You are not going to die.
2 Samuel 12:13
You are partners with Christ Jesus because of God. Jesus has become our wisdom sent from God, our righteousness, our holiness, and our ransom from sin. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace
1 Corinthians 1:30, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 1:7
Then Moses brought Aaron and his sons forward and washed them with water.
“No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”
And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.’
O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You and praise Your name, for in perfect faithfulness You have done marvelous things, things planned long ago. For You have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 25:1, Psalm 56:13, 1 Thessalonians 5:23
