Be ready to spread the word whether or not the time is right. Point out errors, warn people, and encourage them. Be very patient when you teach. This testimony is true. Therefore, rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith. These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you. Those who sin are to be rebuked publicly, so that the others may take warning. 2 Timothy 4:2, Titus 1:3, Titus 2:15, 1 Timothy 5:20
“Rise and thresh, O Daughter of Zion, for I will give you horns of iron; I will give you hoofs of bronze and you will break to pieces many nations.” You will devote their ill-gotten gains to the LORD, their wealth to the Lord of all the earth.
“See, I will make you into a threshing sledge, new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff. You will winnow them, the wind will pick them up, and a gale will blow them away. But you will rejoice in the LORD and glory in the Holy One of Israel.”
“You are my war club, my weapon for battle–with you I shatter nations, with you I destroy kingdoms.”
“They will not need to gather wood from the fields or cut it from the forests, because they will use the weapons for fuel. And they will plunder those who plundered them and loot those who looted them,” declares the Sovereign LORD.
Jeremiah 51:20, Ezekiel 39:10
Through You we push back our enemies; through Your name we trample our foes.”Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with none to rescue!”
Psalm 44:5, Psalm 50:22
This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says:
“The Daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor at the time it is trampled; the time to harvest her will soon come.”
“Ephraim is a trained heifer that loves to thresh; so I will put a yoke on her fair neck. I will drive Ephraim, Judah must plow, and Jacob must break up the ground. Together they will be like mighty men trampling the muddy streets in battle. Because the LORD is with them, they will fight and overthrow the horsemen. Then you will trample down the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I do these things,” says the LORD Almighty.
Hosea 10:11, Zechariah 10:5, Malachi 4:3
The few people left from Jacob will be among the nations, among many people. They will be like a lion among animals in the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep. When a lion hunts, it tramples its victims and tears them to pieces, and there is no one to rescue them. Like a lion they crouch and lie down, like a lioness–who dares to rouse them? “May those who bless you be blessed and those who curse you be cursed!” …a lion, mighty among beasts, who retreats before nothing!
Micah 5:8, Numbers 24:9, Proverbs 30:30
“I will make the lame a remnant, those driven away a strong nation. The LORD will rule over them in Mount Zion from that day and forever.”
Yet her profit and her earnings will be set apart for the LORD; they will not be stored up or hoarded. Her profits will go to those who live before the LORD, for abundant food and fine clothes.
“No longer will the people of Israel have malicious neighbors who are painful briers and sharp thorns. Then they will know that I am the Sovereign LORD… to them I will give within my temple and its walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off.”
Ezekiel 28:24, Isaiah 56:5
