And He fills even you who were dead in your sins and in your stupidity. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil–the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us once lived among these people, and followed the desires of our corrupt nature. We did what our corrupt desires and thoughts wanted us to do. So, because of our nature, we deserved God’s anger just like everyone else. But God is rich in mercy because of His great love for us. that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) God has brought us back to life together with Christ Jesus and has given us a position in heaven with Him. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of His grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all He has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. “…neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.” John 3:17, John 8:11
How great is the goodness You have stored up for those who fear You. You lavish it on those who come to You for protection, blessing them before the watching world. Psalm 31:19
Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin? Romans 2:4
Did I not tell you that if you would only believe, you would see?
And I–in righteousness I will see Your face; when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing Your likeness. The path of the righteous is like the shining sun, that shines every brighter unto the perfect day.
Psalm 17:15, Proverbs 4:18
Later on, Jesus found him in the temple and told him,
“See, you have become well. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”
Stay away from idols! I am the one who answers your prayers and cares for you. I am like a tree that is always green; all your fruit comes from me.
For your Creator will be your husband; the LORD of Heaven’s Armies is His name! He is your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of all the earth.
If we break your commandments again and intermarry with people doing these disgusting things, You will become even more angry with us until You finally destroy us and no survivors are left.
“Return home, you wayward children,” says the LORD,
“for I am your husband!“
Isaiah 54:5, Ezra 9:14, Jeremiah 3:14
We will never again say ‘Our gods‘ to what our own hands have made, for in You the fatherless find compassion. Hosea 14:3
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe Him. This is the same mighty power He worked with that same power in Christ when He brought Him back to life and gave Him the highest position in heaven. Higher than all Principalities, Rulers, Powers, and Dominions, and higher than every name that is named, not only in this universe, but also in the one that is coming. God has put all things under His feet, and has appointed Him universal and supreme Head of the Church, which is His Body, The church is Christ’s body and completes Him as he fills everything in every way.
2 Corinthians 8:2, Ephesians 1:18-23
The fullness of God’s life is only discovered in relationship to Him. Our eyes are progressively opened to the wonder of His love, the closer we come to Him. To start this journey, just as a woman
in labor gives birth, the best position is one that is bearing down,
just as laborers kneel before their King in awe at his majesty and authority.
In Isaiah 57:15, The High and Lofty One lives forever, and His name is holy.
This is what He says:
“I live in a high and holy place. But I am with those who are crushed and humble. I will renew the spirit of those who are humble and the courage of those who are crushed“.
To the one who is humble and courageous enough to abandon their will in complete sweet surrender to His, He will release you in the freedom that comes with the acceptance of being loved and knowing that He has you covered. Your life is in His hands and you no longer need to fear any other!
In that freedom is perfect peace, perfect joy, perfect love and there is nothing to separate you from Him ever again.
