To show that you are the children of your Father Who is in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the wicked and on the good, and makes the rain fall upon the upright and the wrongdoers alike.
For if you love those who love you, what reward can you have?
Do not even the tax collectors do that?
Put out of your minds the thought and do not suppose [as some of you are supposing] that I will accuse you before the Father.
There is one who accuses you–it is Moses, the very one on whom you have built your hopes [in whom you trust].
For if you believed and relied on Moses, you would believe and rely on Me, for he wrote about Me [personally].
Produce fruit in keeping with repentance —
Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God.
And do not begin to say to yourselves,
‘We have Abraham as our father.’
For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.
Then say to them,
‘This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says:
I will send for my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and I will set his throne over these stones I have buried here; he will spread his royal canopy above them.’
“Hear, O Israel: the Lord is our God, the Lord is one.”
Deuteronomy 6:4 —
First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles also, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.
Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)
Acts 26:20 – Ephesians 5:8 -9
“But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.”
As He was approaching the city, at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of the disciples began to rejoice and to praise God extolling Him exultantly and loudly for all the mighty miracles and works of power that they had witnessed,
Crying, Blessed (celebrated with praises) is the King Who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven [freedom there from all the distresses that are experienced as the result of sin] and glory (majesty and splendor) in the highest heaven!
And some of the Pharisees from the throng said to Jesus,
Teacher, reprove Your disciples!
I tell you that if these keep silent, the very stones will cry out.
For you make me glad by your deeds, LORD;
I sing for joy at what your hands have done.
How great are your works, LORD,
how profound your thoughts!
Senseless people do not know,
fools do not understand,
that though the wicked spring up like grass
and all evildoers flourish,
they will be destroyed forever.
But you, LORD, are forever exalted.
From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
“If The Son therefore will set you free, you will truly be the children of liberty.”
John 8:32; 36
“…because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.”
“A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever.”
Romans 8:2 – John 8:35
A psalm of David.
LORD, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
Who may live on your holy mountain?
The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others;
who despises a vile person
but honors those who fear the LORD;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
and does not change their mind;
who lends money to the poor without interest;
who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
Whoever does these things
will never be shaken. __
So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:10-11
The sabbath was made for man. The Sabbath rest; that is, rest of one day in seven was made for man, not for Jews only. This implies that it is to be a universal institution; that the good of man requires it, and that it is not an arbitrary enactment, but a wise and benevolent provision for the welfare of the race. Experience shows that men are happiest, most moral, most prosperous and healthiest where it is devoutly observed.
People’s New Testament -Mark 2:27
He created them male and female and blessed them. And when they were created, he called them “man.”

A psalm of David.
LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory
in the heavens.
Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?
You have made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honor.
You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their feet:
all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,
the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.
LORD, our Lord,
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.
