Trust is a fundamental need for all of us.
To be able to fully trust someone is to know that what someone says he will do, will be done.
It’s holding your heart fully open, dependent, and vulnerable to someone. Trust knows that your best interest is in good hands.
Just as a small child completely trusts and is completely dependent, so we are to be towards Father God.
We need to know that nothing can separate us from His Love.
This includes death, trial, tribulation, sorrow and sickness.
Through all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us.
To trust is to take someone at their word and know we can depend upon them. Who better to trust than Father God who is fully dependable, trustworthy and faithful.
He just asks us to trust and obey and He will direct our paths.
If someone close to you dies, will you trust God? If life seems dark and you cannot see in front of you, will you trust? If you do not understand what is happening around you, will you trust God? If He asks you to give up something very dear, will you trust Him? If you have something taken from you–loved ones, material blessings and health–will you trust Him?
Job did, and God restored to him more blessings than he previously had. God is trustworthy and we can thank Him for that.
Father, forgive me for being reluctant to trust You. You are more trustworthy than anyone. Teach me how to lean on You instead of my own understanding. Today I choose to acknowledge You while You guide me through this day. Amen.
