“Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Sing unto him a new song. For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. The LORD brings the counsel of the heathen to nought: he makes the devices of the people of none effect. The counsel of the LORD stands for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.”
“Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the LORD: He is our help and our shield.”
When someone comes to God it is through prayer. Jesus prayed for “these” in John 17. Jesus is the great high priest in the Eternal ever living to intercede, to stand in, filling up what is lacking by praying shut the gap between the Father and His children. Won’t you labor with Him in prayer for the birthing of His children out of this dying world’s system?
And even as Caleb did not claim his own inheritance in the PROMISED land until the next generation occupied theirs. He fought diligently by their side for five years before requesting his “mountain.”
Even so, he issued a challenge in order to make provision for his BELOVED DAUGHTER Achsah.
This is the season of entering in to our assigned places, our appointment in the LORD to bring in one another through prayer and praise in declaring the Word of the LORD. All of God’s promises are “yes and Amen” to the glory of God the Father in Jesus Christ the Son. Even as the Apostle Paul says although it is better for him to go home with the LORD, it is more necessary that he remain for the sake of others–whether I go or stay, be it according to the Will of the Lord! I will not die but live and declare the Word of the LORD! Let Your Kingdom Come! “On Earth as it is in Heaven!
I pray to God—my life a prayer—
and wait for what he’ll say and do.
My life’s on the line before God, my Lord,
waiting and watching till morning,
waiting and watching till morning
The Songs of Ascents (Psalms 120-134) were composed by the Israelites to mark their journey towards Jerusalem for the LORD’S appointed annual feasts. These Psalms were songs expressing the pilgrim’s heart in home-coming to the Father.
In this world of sorrow and suffering, in trials, tribulations, afflictions and persecutions, the trying of our faith is as precious in the sight of the Lord. Just as a woman in labor pains cries out in travail longing for the birth of her child, we have within our hearts, the Seed of God Himself which is the earnest of our salvation and steadfast assurance– Christ in us, the hope of God’s glory.
Our believing hearts burst into joyful songs of expectation as we wait on His strength being perfected in our weakness.
sing yourselves into his presence.
Know this: God is God, and God, God.
He made us; we didn’t make Him.
We’re His people, His well-tended sheep.
Enter with the password: “Thank you!”
Make yourselves at home, talking praise.
Thank him. Worship him.
The Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing. If there is a lack in your life, it is because you have not asked the Father to supply your need. For His Word says that He supplies all our need according to His riches in Christ Jesus in glory. Some have not because they are asking in the wrong way, to consume the gifts on their selfish lusts, rather than employed in the work of God. Again, we have not because we ask not. And when we come together to the Lord’s Table, how can we sit with the Author of Salvation who forgave us all our sins if we choose to hold on to our grievances towards one another? Likewise, when we try to gain honor for our self rather than give all praise and glory back to the Father through the Finished Work of His grace in the Son, is it not like trying to grab the best seats in the house but others left “homeless” and “begging” outside with the door closed in their face? We are called to consider one another. We are to pray and usher others into the presence of the LORD. We are gatekeepers to help them to find their way in to His presence. Do we see Jesus worrying about where his next meal is coming from? Complaining about sore feet? He fed multitudes. He washed feet. He lived a life in communion with the Father in prayer. His life was fasted not wasted. The training in going through going without is growing up in the love of God. Remember the “lame”, “blind”, “deaf”, and those who are dis-abled and heavy laden, unable to make their way in–go out of your way and bring them in! Carry them to the table of the Lord.
Father we have been like self-centered children thinking only of ourselves. Take the boundaries off, take the limits off our hearts in prayer. Expand us with Your love unto others. Don’t let me even consider my “own” need until I’ve expended my all in time and energy on others. Love them through me Lord Jesus. Make us one in Your Spirit. AMEN
I’m not giving up. We are God’s holy generation. The warriors that usher in the Kingdom of the Crowned Prince of Peace! Lord touch our eyes, touch our tongues loose us to let us go forward in prayer and praise to You O Lord. You have allowed me to see the enemy’s encampments, their ungodly entrenchments. Touch their mouths O Lord turn back their trench mouth, break up their encampments with an atmospheric drop. If My people will humble themselves and pray! THEN I will hear from heaven and HEAL their land! This is the day of bowing down before no other gods and letting God free to move in our midst. Greater love is laying down your life for another. This is the will of God that none perish but all come home in His Saving Grace in the Son. Break the bars over those windows, open up the gates and let the King of Glory enter in. When the lion roars nothing holds him back. Stop drop and roll it over on to Him. Stop running away in your own way, drop whatever it is that is holding you back and roll your entire being over onto the strong shoulder of Jesus Christ. Look to Him and live! There is freedom that you have never tasted only to be found in Him.
When the children ask for BREAD, the Father gives it. Feed My sheep. Feed My lambs. Gather them up in your arms in prayer and praise. These are the thank offerings that bring pleasure to the heart of Your Father. You can’t hold on to My blessings for yourself, it doesn’t work that way. Take whatever I’ve placed in your hands and lay it all out upon someone else. Lose yourself in finding Me in every place you are sent.
God is going to heal this Generation! Morning has broken! Morning’s come so give up the fight (Jacob) for you have a new name and your true identity is only found in the Lord Christ Jesus as a king and priest with God (Israel). Jesus didn’t come in to the world to condemn it…picture here all the flood-devastated places…these are homes, where people have invested their hearts and lives and memories. They don’t want to see them condemned but saved! Now picture Jesus looking at man and seeing the word “condemned” replaced with “saved.” See yourself in the light of His Eternal love. He has something better for you! He comes to bring you an expected end. It takes faith and patience to obtain the promises of God. They don’t necessarily fall as ripe fruit on your lap…for fruit that falls to the ground perishes when it comes into contact with the corruption that is in the world through sin. But fruit must needs be PICKED! Jesus is looking at you with tender longing in His heart, He is PICKING YOU!
That you not perish but live with Him forever in love without limits!
A reservation for your eternal home as be made in His name at the cross. Won’t you R.S.V.P. and be welcomed into His presence?
