I appeal to you, brothers, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.
(1 Corinthians 1:10)
A new command I give you:
Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. (John 13:34-35)
Pointing with his hand at his disciples, he said, “Look, here are my mother and my brothers.
To obey my Father who is in Heaven–that is to be my brother and my sister and my mother.” (Matthew 12:49-50)
Even in the best of families, there are times when misunderstanding can cause disagreement. Yet it is the bonds of perfect love as demonstrated by Jesus the Living Son of God, our Almighty Father, that are the ties that bind us all together in His perfect peace that goes beyond mere human understanding. His is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory both now and forever! He is the One that binds up all wounds and knits hearts together in love. Just one touch of the hem of His garment brings Shalom to the broken-hearted with nothing missing, nothing broken but whole.
The purpose of these troubles is to test your faith as fire tests how genuine gold is. Your faith is more precious than gold, and by passing the test, it gives praise, glory, and honor to God. This will happen when Jesus Christ appears again. (1 Peter 1:7)
Father, unite our hearts to fear You in reverence and awe. For You name’s sake in Jesus’ name. AMEN
Love is not passive state of mind but a passion burning from within –it is an action verb. Relationships are like babies, they grow in time with proper nutrition and discipline. In the beginning, it may seem like work changing diapers and burping baby, but every smile is an indelible imprint on love’s heart. Love brews in every storm and melts throw winter’s icy chill. It survives and thrives and instills a sense of belonging to the next generation. The love of God is a potency that cures every ailing heart. To love God, is to obey Him.
Jesus said that all the law and the prophets is summed up in just one simple command: to love the Lord your God and your neighbor as yourself. The desire of every longing heart is met in His – for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that men might not perish but have everlasting life in Him. (John 3:16).
Psalm 133, A song by David for going up to worship.
See how good and pleasant it is when brothers and sisters live together in harmony!
It is like fine, scented oil on the head,
running down the beard—down Aaron’s beard—
running over the collar of his robes.
It is like dew on Mount Hermon,
dew which comes down on Zion’s mountains.
That is where the Lord promised the blessing of eternal life.
You say, ‘I’m rich. I’m wealthy. I don’t need anything.’ Yet, you do not realize that you are miserable, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked.
I advise you: Buy gold purified in fire from me so that you may be rich. Buy white clothes from me. Wear them so that you may keep your shameful, naked body from showing. Buy ointment to put on your eyes so that you may see. (Revelation 3:17-18)
