Psalm 47, Amplified
O CLAP your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph and songs of joy!
For the Lord Most High excites terror, awe, and dread; He is a great King over all the earth.
He subdued peoples under us, and nations under our feet.
He chose our inheritance for us, the glory and pride of Jacob, whom He loves.
Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
God has ascended amid shouting, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises in a skillful psalm and with understanding.
God reigns over the nations; God sits upon His holy throne.
The princes and nobles of the peoples are gathered together, a [united] people for the God of Abraham, for the shields of the earth belong to God; He is highly exalted.
Psalms 121:7-8, “The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”
“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our Faith, who for the Joy set before Him endured the Cross, SCORNING its SHAME, and SAT DOWN at the Right Hand of the Throne of God.”
Psalms 24:2-8, ” Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.”
