Walls can protect while others imprison; some do both simultaneously.
Are you crouching behind a wall thinking it is to your safety and yet you feel dead inside?
When you are hiding behind these walls, you are closed off from walking in newness of life with the Lord and His children–your true brothers and sisters. Oh to be sure, you’ve heard the joyful sound of them playing outside your cold prison wall but the best you have ever been able to do is to climb up and peer over the edge but it is there keeping you locked up inside as they are free to sing, dance and walk with the Lord in the liberty of His blood-bought sons and daughters.
Love says to you that there is a Way where there seems to be no way. That way is by opening up your heart to the love of God that came to earth (dust, dirt, earth) as Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God to set you free from this curse of sin and death.
God’s answer is nearer than you think for His Word is in your heart and in your mouth to do it. When you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ came and died for you on the cross and rose again with healing and restoration, you are set free from this dark and narrow place. He brings you out beyond those walls into a broad and abundant place.Romans 6:4, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
“Great peace have those who love Your law,
And nothing causes them to stumble.”
“Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in. And the LORD said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor. You shall march around the city, all you men of war; you shall go all around the city once. This you shall do six days. And seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark. But the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets. It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down flat. And the people shall go up every man straight before him.” (Joshua 6:1-5)
“So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, ox and sheep and donkey, with the edge of the sword.” (Joshua 6:20-21)
“Then Joshua charged them at that time, saying, “Cursed be the man before the LORD who rises up and builds this city Jericho; he shall lay its foundation with his firstborn, and with his youngest he shall set up its gates.”
So the LORD was with Joshua, and his fame spread throughout all the country” (Joshua 6:26-27)
Christ Our Peace
“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
Christ Our Cornerstone
Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. (Ephesians 2:14-22)
“By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. (Hebrews 11:8-10)
“And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)“
Father I know that the darkness is as light to You and that there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed by the light of Your great love in Jesus Christ for me. Help me bring to light everything that has been keeping me back from loving You fully. Release me in Jesus’ name to walk in freedom and real life with You as my Lord and Savior. AMEN.
