“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.” Psalms 46:1,2
Never under-estimate the power of God’s holy Spirit and prayer – and
God being with us in the darkest of times even as He was with Queen Esther – when it APPEARS that He is most absent -that is when He is most present – “behind the scenes” doing great works in our lives. For we walk BY FAITH not by sight! He is setting the stage for the moment when all is ready, His people are prepared and we walk out in His timing and righteousness.
For we are surrounded by a great company of witnesses in heaven and in earth and hell. He is setting the stage for a glorious display of His Resurrection life-giving power.
Just as Lazarus, Jesus didn’t just call him forth from the grave, He commanded the removal of the dead, unnecessary coverings that formerly bound Lazarus. Jesus is The Resurrection and the Life who removes all traces of the curse of sin and death in God’s redeemed creation.

Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions.
Don’t allow your thoughts to be dis-tracted from the course that God has purposed for your life.
These challenges are being allowed so that we learn expierientially. We learn courage when we face danger not turning tail and running away. We learn patience when we endure suffering not cringing and shrinking in anger. We learn tenderness when we taste pain not complaining and eating its bitter fruit.
“For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.”
2 Corinthians 1:5
Thank You Father that you know what is most beneficial for growing us into the likeness of Your Son.
Help us to learn comfort through courage. Help us to see the comfort in suffering. Help us to taste tenderness within pain. Let us walk unafraid by faithful trusting in Your Goodness and Mercy through every dark valley because You are ever present to guide our steps and keep us upright. Give us the joy and peace that come from knowing You are ever present in these things and to know You and the power of Your Resurrection that lifts us out from among the “dead” even while we are in this body.
In Jesus’ Name AMEN.
Isaiah 40:27-31 (The Message)
Why would you ever complain, O Jacob, or, whine, Israel, saying,
“God has lost track of me. He doesn’t care what happens to me“?
Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening?
God doesn’t come and go. God lasts.
He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine.
He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch his breath.
And he knows everything, inside and out.
He energizes those who get tired,
gives fresh strength to dropouts.
For even young people tire and drop out,
young folk in their prime stumble and fall.
But those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don’t get tired,
they walk and don’t lag behind.
Deuteronomy 33:26-29, “There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rides upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them. Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew. Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.”
