There is a song that was popular a number of years ago called “Because He Lives.”
The chorus goes,
“Because He lives I can face tomorrow; because He lives all fear is gone; because I know He holds the future, and life is worth the living just because He lives.”
Because of the resurrection we have a hope and a future.
Life is worth living because He lives.
Because He lives there is hope
Because He lives there is hope — no person is beyond the reach of His love; no situation is too big for God to solve.
Because He lives there is hope — for our children in an uncertain world; for the backslidden child and wayward spouse.
Because He lives there is hope — for broken relationships; for financial needs.
Because He lives there is hope — for a mighty move of God in our region; for our nation to turn back to God.
Because He lives there is hope — even in death for there is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”
Pray the words of this wonderful hymn:
“My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness…When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace. In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil…On Christ the Solid Rock I stand; all other ground is sinking sand.” AMEN
