It would behoove us to make a list of the doors in our life and check out the
purpose of each.
John 6:37, “All that the Father gives me shall come to me; and him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out.”
“A door is a place for leaving as well as entering”
Once, weighing my “options”, I asked a trusted friend whether something were right or wrong.
He drew me a diagram.
One end showed death and separation from God; the other, life eternal with Him.
The wise man said which direction does your choice lead?
End of discussion.
Just because a door is open doesn’t imply it is the best choice.
Life is like “Let’s Make a Deal” -where we should consider what lies behind
our CHOICE of Door #1, Door #2 or Door #3…
Is the fact that they are open a help or hindrance to the Kingdom?
Consider the consequences of your decision. Where do they lead?
Proverbs 4:26-27, “Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.”
Temptation is like the lure on a fishing line – the fish is enticed by the attraction of the lure and wham- is caught on the hook. It doesn’t END there – no, the fish must be deboned (filleted) and then he’s ready for frying and EATEN.
PONDER the path of your feet, SEEK the LORD in prayer:
Lord, I give you the doors in my life.
Guide me into the doors according to Thy perfect will.
May I not strive to go into any that go against Your best for my life.
May I not go against those You have opened for me.
May I continually knock until You open the ones you have planned in time.
Lord close and bar the doors which I have opened in my self will and foolishness.
May the enemy not have advantage over me. AMEN.
2 Corinthians 1:18-22, “But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay. For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.”
