Isaiah 62: “Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and His work before him.
The second day of my daughter’s exams (Tuesday, 4/13/10) was a shorter session so the nearby Greenbelt Trail seemed a “logical” place for walking and meditation. There was a slight drizzle and suddenly, the sun burst through in radiantly streaming glory. This section of the Greenbelt winds along the Spring Creek passing close by the Dauphin County Prison and out by the Harrisburg Incinerator; interestingly, both places of brokenness, sickness and burdensome debt. One incarcerates fugitives; the other en-cancer-ates. Both “housing” a notorious history.
The incinerator with its violations involving fugitive emissions – most notorious of all the dioxin, a powerful carcinogen which can have tragic developmental and reproductive system consequences.
Prison’s rehabilitation more a “warm and fuzzy” feeling giving society the illusion that jail-time is making prisoners reformed citizens. Real change is in the heart. Attitude directs actions.
As the raindrops glistening on the spring leaves and blooms, I was amazed at the abundance and large variety of songbirds, some quite rare.
It wasn’t until two months later, that the spiritual meaning of this place started to unfold.
Upon waking that morning, and in devotional time,
the words “Deformed Bodies”was impressed upon me.
Lately I’d seen examples of various bodies that were deformed or incomplete.
Even to my husband making a point of telling me of a certain person with half of his body smaller than the other!
Just the day before, I’d read in John Maxwell’s “Failing Forward” of Roger Crawford who was born without any hands and only one foot yet went on to became a professional tennis player, not allowing anything to hinder his purpose!!!
The Almighty says, Do not allow these outward “appearances” to hinder your fulfilling my commands.
Time for a generation that goes forward in obedience. Scriptures clearly show that only a priesthood properly CONSECRATED and CLEANSED can enter in.
Their lives of love, a PERSONAL ALTAR OF CONSECRATION close to the heart of the Father where the Living Water springs out of His Son.
Unafraid, unashamed in love within plain sight of the enemy. His children who overcame the wilderness of Sin and worldly “religions” hearts united with their Captain, the Lord of Hosts to PRO-CLAIM the kingdom. Like the little ones of Jacob -under the new name of Israel – now “go” to become a great nation.
Gilgal, represents a Memorial-lace of Twelve Stones.
Letting go, Sent out from “Gilgal”, stripped of all fleshly desires to wholly fulfill His divine desires.
Holy spit in clay, adds virtue to the mud when applied to open the blind eyes that are SENT to wash.
He Sends to gather and restore these broken pieces of clay. Like the 10,000 shells that were gathered, broken to create virtuous color in the Hebrew prayer shawl, they are of great value – holy and beautiful in His sight.
Like Saul of Tarsus whose eyes were opened through holy-inspired, sent hands.
Time to apply holy “spittle” to the mud that the worldly “religions” have drug His Name into. Restoring sight to the blind as sent by His Spirit.
No more cast away, broken-hearts from man’s polluted “religion” and hard hearts.
Just as “religious” Saul was changed into the clean vessel, Paul, He is sending us to pour out the Father’s Love in Christ.
The Pool of Siloam* was created by an opening from both ends. God joined with man to reclaim the land. Truth sets the captives free and brings newness of life.
Gone are the lies, deceits and all that holds down.
“Siloam”* means “SENT”. That pool is watered by the only permanent source of fresh water in the immediate vicinity: The Virgin’s Spring – (The Virgin Mary).
During war, it was important to deprive the enemy access to it but keep it available for those who were within the city. The spring’s headwaters are outside the city walls on a cliff that overlooks the valley. Fed by a conduit that is cut for a distance of 1,780 feet through Solid Rock – (YAHshua, Christ the Messiah).
*It was from Siloam that water was brought in a golden vessel to the Temple during the feast of Tabernacles, when YAHshua stood up and proclaimed, “If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink” (7:37).
