The stories we tell show what we value most. Indeed, stories reveal who we are.
All my life, I’ve had the “gift of gab.” At times, it’s been more of a curse than a gift as the taste of leather can leave quite an impression.
God has never given up on teaching me the value of thoughts, words and deed.
Finally, the Word of wisdom to guard my heart is bearing root.
Why are words important?
The words we speak not only reveal the condition of our heart but contain potential for good or evil. No wound is more deadly than those self-inflicted… but no more!
God is calling me to a place where the former things are cleared away to make room for His restoration process.
The “house cleaning” begins in the heart because as a man thinks in his heart, so his mouth speaks.
And surprising, this gift comes with an instruction manual. But you must read and apply it for proper function.
True to nature, I had jumped right in with both feet and shoes on. Any wonder it didn’t work properly!
Luke 6:45, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”
